i'm interested in seeing this happen, i think that it will be a boom to getting the Smokeys recognized for developing amateur hoops.

Good to see CJ Black is playing. I always like watching him and Charles Hathaway, before Hathaway went on to star in the Green Mile

His girlfriend is Nikki "Hoopz" Alexander from Flavor of Love and I Love Money fame and she lives here with him.

That's hilarious. My friend called me a while back claiming he saw a bit where some girl from that show had relocated to TN, and he swore she lived in a apartment complex in Maryville. I figured he had to be mistaken, but I guess not!

I went last night. Hopson stood out to me as looking vastly improved when comparing last years RTL. But then again, RTL means nothing. I will say this though, Skylar McBee has a beautiful shot that looks like it's going in every time.

Hope he turns out to be good.

I hope he gets a chance. CBP seems to favor slightly uncoordinated street ballers.

random side observation: If all you knew about UT basketball was what you saw at the Rocky Top League, you would think Josh Tabb is one of our biggest offensive threats

I wasn't too impressed with Hall. Physically, he's very thin. Not very good offensively. Has 12 foot arms. I think they touch the floor. He's 1000% better than when I saw Jurrick last year. It's one game though and he had to guard Williams. A lot of upside for him.

Hopson did LOOK all world, but he definately took atleast 60% of the shots. He was opposed to passing it off most of the time. He did shoot a lot better, though. McBee looked very good. He looks as if he could play some point. He has a smooth jumper, good IQ, and seems to keep his head on a swivel. He saw a lot more of the floor than Maze or Tabb did. He also surprised us a bit on Defense. He played CJ Watson man for most of the 1st half and did a good job when you consider his size and age. Watson may have put up 8 or 10 on him. Tatum looked well, too.

Had Black stayed healthy and cared enough to stay in shape, he'd have been the next Charles Oakley. Alas, he did neither.

I agree and also thought Slay had similar NBA potential. It was disappointing that Slay never made it.

CJ Watson said "I just have to play hard and try to avoid playing to the level of the competition."

I know he's right, but doesn't that seem a little disrespectful to say?

He was being guarded by a guy whose best scholarship offers were Santa Clara and Marshall. What's he supposed to say? "This is tougher than playing against Chris Paul." If I were Golden State, I'd be furious Watson is playing in this league instead of getting ready for Vegas or some other legit summer league.

Although this league has to be a ton of fun to play in (and to watch), I can't help but wonder if the lack of defense doesn't carry over to the team's subconscious once the season rolls around.

Anyone else think that's a possibility?
