I'm talking only about Rivals per the original post. Do you honestly think they finish on signing day ahead of UT? I will bet that with you.......

Vandy sure looked like they had the better talent against us. I think people need to stop worrying about what Vandy is doing and worry about this program. I guess when Vandy trucks us by 3 TD's, they get the benefit of the doubt.

I'll agree that I hate rivals and that is why I switched to 247, but I do know one thing I hate to admit it but Vandy has a great class. Maybe it is ranked a little high but they are good, I just really hope Butch Jones can keep his steak up aginst Franklin because I got to where I hate Vandy almost more than I do Florida and Alabama.

Look at the weights of the guys they have recruited- it looks like they are forming a flag football team. We have some serious trench players committed and last year Dooley signed 3 of the top 5 defensive linemen that went to the SEC. Size matters. Not class size, linemen size. They beat us this year because they were loaded with 5th year seniors and we were playing with a freshly fired coach.

Guys, do you not know anything? The rivals rankings are based on points. You get so many points for 3* more points for a 4* more for a 5*. Add up total points and team with most is ranked higher. Vandy has more commits so they have more points. But in the end both teams will have same number of recruits and the team who has more points will be ranked higher. Right now UT has 3.33 avg stars and VU less than 3. At that rate VU will drop to around #35 and UT will jump to around #15.

Why/How? The only source of true joy on Vandymania is the schadenfreude of watching us fail and coupled with them succeeding, OMG!

And yes they absolutely believe that. They have never followed recruiting seriously before and are absolutely celebrating a December rating.

this should be sticked. im amazed that every day 4 or 5 more people can not grasp this concept. its not calculus. vandy is still vandy.

You are kidding yourself if you think UT would not accept commitments from Weaver, McCrary, Ford, Burse, Crooks, and Bowden. That is 6, not 2. Unfortunately this recruiting class has not won a single game on the field as games aren't decided by recruiting rankings.

UT did land 2 commits we had high on our list (Reeves-Maybin and Skipper).

Weaver : Vandy,UK,UT
of course he got a 4 star TE meredith just last year and Downs the year before and hes played a lot already, dont see why wed need another TE from a small private school

McCrary : UGA,UK,MSU,vandy,UT
rated the #8 dual threat QB. read the Asiantti Woulard thread and you would know we have no need for this guy.

Ford - Vandy, ole miss, MSU, UT
the nations 24th rated RB, no room for this guy ever especially if we get Green

Burse - vandy, florida, UT, SC , MSU
the nations #46 WR and a 3 star . UT is WRU , we signed three 4 star WR last year and i feel good about getting North this year. you have to go back to 2009 and Zach Rogers (legacy) to find the last 3 star WR we did take

Crooks - vandy, UGA, UT. 277 doesnt much fit the type OL we recruit in knoxville though. we signed 5 OL 2 years ago and have 3 comiited this year, not much need for this guy

Bowden - vandy,Ut,ole miss,TN. ill give you this one

not a single player with an LSU or Alabama offer and these are the best of your class?

UT was recruiting Weaver as a DE, not as a TE. Woulard was a late bloomer and was on very few teams radars until winning MVP in the Elite11. Before that McCrary was a highly sought after qb by Vandy and many teams including UT. Makes no matter how many wr's UT has, Burse was being recruited to Knoxville. The offers to Crooks and Ford are fairly recent and Ford was only offered after Jones was hired.
