RIP Twitter

You going back to contract work?
Unknown at this time. I expect an opportunity will present itself in January based on the sheer number of people I heard yesterday that are leaving. Hundreds locally. And they’ve been lagging on hiring needs for years now. But it remains to be seen if we can agree to terms. Using local history as a guide there’s a pretty good chance I’ll be able to work as little or as much as I want as a part timer. They’re even taking people back as full time employees but I have no interest in that.

That is really sad to hear from an industrial and military stand point. This nation is screwed.

No joking I’m very concerned about the long term brain drain on the industry as a whole. All of us see it coming. All the major players have done away with pension ties to the company and everyone’s retirement money is completely portable now. Thus there is zero reason to stick in a technology area and continue to mature it unless the company is still playing favorites on key personnel. Which they always have but will it be enough now.

I had to retire as they were freezing my pension and right now it’s very interest rate advantaged. We all joke that it’s a basic math IQ test and as engineers if we don’t quit we fail at basic math. We can’t afford to stay. 🤷‍♂️

But I wanted to work till I was 60 and thus might go back part time if the terms and money are right.

They were caught in dad gum suppression of political opponents and in violation of anything one would consider American values. And lied to Congress at that.
Yet the cognitive dissonance. Pure Democracy in itself is authoritarian

If lying is authoritarian, Trump is Hitler on steroids.

I don’t know what I find more humorous.
Leftist freaking the **** out because they’ve been caught
Or
Leftist trying to pretend nothing is happening and hoping people are stupid enough to fall for it.

Or GOPers equating a private social media platform to government action for First Amendment purposes.

Under the direction of gov officials. Whether or not it’s a violation will need to be litigated. The public opinion of whether or not these gov agencies involved should be disbanded as they are in current form is why it’s important.

Or either trying to explain it to intelligent people who understand how government manipulated propaganda is actually distributed through society , when private businesses allow themselves to be used as the arbiters of truth vs misinformation.

Jeez, go back to some Q website. They need the clicks.

So don't go on Twitter. Or anything else you consider misinformation. Problem solved.

You ignore it anyway because it does not fit the twisted logic narrative you have built.

Of course I ignore misinformation when it has been proven to be misinformation. The funny thing is you support legitimate information being suppressed as “misinformation” as long as it supports your ridiculous views.

It’s funny how the sides have both changed their opinions on that now that the shoe is on the other foot.
“If you don’t like it go build your own platform”

Musk buys their platform and outs all their ******** in very public and dramatic fashion”

“This is a threat to our Democracy and free speech! The threat of misinformation requires government intervention!”
