RIP Robin Williams

I've been watching some of Robin's stand-up and other things posted, and I know hindsight is 20-20, but you can really see the doubt in his eyes after he finishes joke and goes to another.

It's like he wanted to be accepted and make everyone happy and wasn't sure if he was doing a good job.

Let me add a couple that I thought were pretty funny, Mitch Hedberg and Patrice O'Neal, and one of my personal favorites, Bill Hicks.

Another one I'll add...and he wasn't exactly young but George Carlin is another beloved comic that we've lost here recently.

At the 35:00 mark, Stefan Molyneux goes in:

Read that too. For someone who is already depressed and close to the edge, a diagnosis like this was probably just enough to push him over. I feel bad for him.

My sister killed herself in her early thirties after living for about 2 years with MS. I completely understand. Anything that affects your brain like those two diseases is not a pretty way to go. I would consider it myself if I had an illness like that.

Also a lot of MS and Parkinson's disease drugs have been shown to increase the chance of suicide.

I think some don't even recognize that fact.

Also, I believe he suffered from bi-polar disorder. Really hits home having watched my brother deal with it for over 25 years.

This! My mom and I were just discussing this tonight. I wholeheartedly believe he wasn't just depressed but manic/depressive, possibly even type 1 Bi-Polar. That's not to say he wasn't a comedic genius because he was. I distinctly remember seeing him in random interviews like on late night shows and thinking that he was completely crazy. He would get loud and very energetic almost to the point of being spastic. He seemed to always be "on", like in character mode or "time to make you laugh mode". I think underneath his acting and behavior he was always suppressing something.
