Read that too. For someone who is already depressed and close to the edge, a diagnosis like this was probably just enough to push him over. I feel bad for him.
My sister killed herself in her early thirties after living for about 2 years with MS. I completely understand. Anything that affects your brain like those two diseases is not a pretty way to go. I would consider it myself if I had an illness like that.
Also a lot of MS and Parkinson's disease drugs have been shown to increase the chance of suicide.
Also, I believe he suffered from bi-polar disorder. Really hits home having watched my brother deal with it for over 25 years.
