Riots if Obama loses

There was never an argument for equality. The argument was to not be hung and lynched and such. The argument was that a grown ass man was not a 'boy'. The argument was to not have to go to the back of the bus. The argument was we were not a second class citizen. The argument was not eating on back alleys anymore. The argument was why did we need National Guard escort to go to college. -+ Every human is born equal. That is nothing to strive for. But the trade of for that "equality" became an even worse segregation. Amongst ourselves.

This is related to acting black vs acting white? Maybe I misunderstood. I thought you were talking about current events.

Vehemently disagree.

Everyone is not born equal. In fact, we are very unequal. That is what makes us different, that is what makes us unique, that is what makes us beautiful.

Everyone should be treated the same in the eyes of the government. People will always have prejudices because our brains are biologically wired to detect certain patterns. Nothing wrong with this. It is natural. We should also defend one's right to be ignorant (private discrimination/racism).

Harrison Bergeron?

The funny thing is lg didnt blow a gasket during this thread and it may be one of the most racist things I have ever read.

Feel free to arbitrarily put limits on what counts as relevant. I can play the same game. Yesterday does not count. And, come tomorrow, today will not count. If today does not count tomorrow, then it is a necessary truth that today does not count; thus, today does not count. Nothing counts.

Come tomorrow, your student loans will count.

By born equal I meant with the same basic capabilities as humans. Equal doed not have to be argued for or against. It is inherent. Nearly everyone is born into different situations and opportunities.

You said "what was the argument for equality". I said the argument was never for "equality". It was for many other things (I metioned a few).

and we wonder why some people are prejudiced?

As well as wonder why we even needed a civil rights movement. Wonder why people stand around taking pics of hanging black folks. We wonder wonder a lot of things. No answers appear to be forthcoming though. In fact, to some, these atrocities never occured. Or are in the past. Yep, there is a lot to "wonder" about allright.

Do you honestly believe this garbage?

We are not born inherently equal. We are born inherently unequal. Hell, this argument has been made for the existence of God; being that every person has a special talent. We are all born with different physical and mental capabilities. When I was born, I was born with a 0% chance of ever being the fastest man in the world.

If you would like a simpler example, you could take the difference between my sister and I. My sister is very creative and outgoing. The down side is that she isn't very bright. I, on the other hand, tend to be decently bright but lack any sort of creativity at all. Additionally, I believe it is impossible for me to pick up another language being that I am dyslexic; you should see my posts before spell check, red everywhere. Now, both my sister and I were born to the same parents and grew up in the same neighborhood. We went to the same elementary, middle, and high school. We were just born with different capabilities.
