I'm pretty sure more people than not thought RB was a questionable hire. Heck, I did. He was older and it's easy to think his best years were behind him based on how his last few years at Texas played out.

Yeah, it’s honestly needless toxicity lol. How dare people 10 years ago not get everything right?Bumping post from 10 years ago is wildddd haha
It's kinda fun tbh. Looking at some of the names that aren't even coaching major college ball anymore, is crazy. Reminder that the "young rising star" coach doesn't always pan out.Yeah, it’s honestly needless toxicity lol. How dare people 10 years ago not get everything right?
I’m cool with people going back to their own poorly aged opinions and laughing about how wrong they were. But digging up decade old posts just to mock people for being wrong is just immature. Most of these people are well aware they were wrong by now.
I agree that it’s fun to read it. I’m sure I’d have said something really funny if I was active on this board in 2015 that I’d laugh at today. I just mean that responding to decade old takes with stuff like “lmao” is really dumb and especially pointless if it’s in response to people who aren’t even active around here anymoreIt's kinda fun tbh. Yeah, I have made some banger posts that aged poorly. Some are on that thread, actually. Only one I responded to was my own. I looked to see if/what I posted at that time.I agree that it’s fun to read it. I’m sure I’d have said something really funny if I was active on this board in 2015 that I’d laugh at today. Again, Mears did that in the late 1960sThe best thing to ever happen to Tennessee basketball. From all accounts an outstanding person on and off the court. Bruce brought the excitement and showed what the program was capable of, but Barnes brought stability and showed that Tennessee is truly a place you can win at a high level and sustain that success.
What's up now?
Crazy how names we thought were big back then are just a candle in the wind nowJaconson - Still at Northern Iowa and will probably never do any better. Hasn't been to the NCAAT in 9 years.
Hurley - Still at Arizona St., been to 4 NCAATs total, 3 at ASU, and never gotten out of the Round of 64. His only 2 wins were in the FIrst Four and all 3 appearances at ASU have been as a First Four.
Underwood - Doing well at Illinois, might see him again in 5 days.

Totally agree. People are too sensitiveIt's kinda fun tbh. Looking at some of the names that aren't even coaching major college ball anymore, is crazy. Reminder that the "young rising star" coach doesn't always pan out.
