Every one of these Fhar Da Coach threads needs to be preserved for future use. People have no idea how difficult it is to bring TN hoops to where it is now. RELEVANT. Keep in mind that we have all the pieces this year to make a FF run. We have a ton of identity issues and recovering injuries plus injured players. Can we please give this just 2 months and not hijack ery discussion to see what out HoF coach can meld together towards March? Pretty please.

Good points. However... we struck gold with Pearl who came from UMW. I'm sure there are plenty of coaches out there who will be household names in the future. The panic over moving on from Barnes (which is inevitably going to happen one way or another) is short sighted.

Tennessee scored 92 points last night. Their highest total of the year by 10 points and the most points they have scored in almost a calendar year. Scoring was not their problem, DEFENSE was the issue. They let NC score at will.

I'm not disagreeing with what Barnes has done at UT, but Bruce Pearl is the one who brought our program to the point of competing with blue bloods. We just made a couple bad hires in the post Pearl era until we got Barnes.

Everyone, including myself, should appreciate the job Barnes has done. Excellent work. Time to take the program to the next level. After this season, 9 years with Barnes will be in the books. It's not like this fanbase hasn't been patient. Many believe that Barnes has hit his ceiling. If history is an indicator, Barnes won't be the one to get us a FF or NC. Would LOVE to see him do it. What IS the goal then? If it's not for championships... why is everyone wasting their time? I'm pretty sure I read our AD said specifically he expects championships... in every sport.
