Rich Bisaccia New Special Teams Coach!

"Laney... keep your own players off the police blotter, and beat somebody yourself. Either way, good luck, Rich."
i found this interesting in the Buc's forum... This guy lives in Fla. and more than likely a gator fan and he's talking about our players being in trouble with the law.. is this guys serious?

BISACCIA AT A GLANCE

1979-82…Yankton College, player

Ahhh, that's where Lyle Alzado went to college. I knew there was a reason why I liked him!

Question, is he going to be running backs coach as well? I assume so but it doesn't really say.

Notice, if you will, on page 8 of this thread, that I called him out on that (*still waiting for a response, but DEFINITELY not holding my breath*). It's pretty obvious from his post he's a Ga-Tard.......I'm DYING for him to try and call my bluff on this, I really am. :birgits_giggle:

I think they will try to convince him to stay, but a position on the Tampa staff isn't the most attractive position right now. Obviously not the most stable, Morris has already fired two coordinators this year!

I like the hire and all he sounds great, but someone with this much expirence is going to be looking foward to a better coaching position. he might be here a year or 2

Better to have someone like that rather than a guy no one else wants... as they say.

Especially a whole staff full of them who stay until the program is headed downhill.

I would much rather replace two or three assistants every year than to have to start over from scratch after falling off the radar.

I wonder why the NFL is letting this guy go????

he's considered one of the best ST coaches in the league, an up and comer who was going to get head coaching consideration in the near future, and 2 years away from being vested into the NFL's retirement plan...

and he's going to come here for less money and a lesser title????

someone explain this one to me...

I have never seen this statement,,,, ST coaches are not the higher paid coaches in teh NFL. I don't know what he makes with the Bucs. Maybe he is in a rut as ST coordinator and needs to get back to running backs.
Stability as the Bucs are only three wins and staff can be out the door,, more fun with the Kiffs,, any number of reasons.,,, some of your points are good, but every ones has their reasons. He seems like a good hire to me if he comes.

In re: my previous post, I finally got a reply. Here's his reply, and my response. Please tell me if I was out of line.

I have no allegiance to the Gators, the SEC, nor am I anti-Volunteer. My point is about Kiffin. I was taught - and as an USMC guy I bet you were, too - keep your head down, work hard at what you can control, and keep your mouth shut... at least until you've accomplished something on your own. To this point, Laney's just another kid of privilege running his mouth... and that began before he had coached a snap in the SEC. The Shula kids were also of privilege, but at lest they had some class - maybe it's a generational thing. Shouldn't try to make himself taller by cutting others at the legs.

I don't see anything wrong with a little smack talk. It's quite refreshing, in my opinion. Better than our former coach, who seemed to have given up. Yes, I was taught those things, but I've also been taught that bravado and swagger have their place, and that there's nothing wrong with thinking that you're better than the next guy. Is Coach Kiffin a lightning rod?? Yes. Might he be getting in a little over his head?? Maybe. Yes, UT's record this year doesn't lend a lot of credence to trash-talking, but when (and I use the UF game as evidence here) all you hear is how the defending national champions are going to run up the score on you, how they're gonna hang 70 on you and there's nothing you can do about it......I think CLK was justified. You simply cannot expect him to roll over like his predecessor, it's not his style.

Ever since choke guru Manning and that loser squad got beat by Florida and screwed Michigan in the process, I've hated Tennessee.

Allow me to fix this for you.

"Ever since ESPN, who chronicled every move Charles Woodson made, screwed Peyton Manning, the rightful winner of the 1997 Heisman Trophy, out of said trophy......I've hated Tennessee."

That's more like it. Can you HONESTLY sit there and tell me that Peyton didn't deserve the 1997 Heisman over Woodson??

well if anyone saw the tampa bay bucs against the new orleans saints a couple days ago. you'll see the bucs returned a punt for a touchdown and kicked a field goal in overtime to win. in fact the bucs have one of the best special teams units in the NFL. Great pickup for the vols, with kiff hiring kippy brown and now this, recruits AND their parents oughta be foaming at their mouths to get a shot at playing under all these former NFL coaches, many of them NFL greats. Kippy Brown is the one who turned UT into Wide Receiver U back in the 80's, then coached the likes of Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams in the pros. Adding a bonafide NFL special teams guru to the mix of one of the best defensive minds in NFL history, and one of the best WR coaches who's ever coached at any level, and you got yourself some pretty solid recruiting tools, to go along with some pretty solid coaching. wouldn't ya say?

The being fully vested for his NFL pension in 2 years is the real head scratcher.

I'll tell you why he's doing all of this in just 2 words:

ho-stesses.

wasn't there a major change in the NFL pension this year? I remember the whole fiasco with the news spreading of a change and all of a sudden two Colts main assts immediately retired to save themselves tons of money....but then they came back after some agreement...i don't know the details but maybe it has been altered to the point where it is not a big deal or he wants to be a college head coach
