Well, if the coaches didn't suck and the team played better, the fans wouldn't be so negative. Shocking I know. Besides, how patient do I have to be? I'd think 5 years would be pretty respectable.

Yes, the program all week heard it. No one in Tennessee is talking about anything else. "They suck", "He's gone" "Fire Him now", "4-8", etc

When surrounded by negativity, you will get subpar performance. Corporations spend millions each yr for positive, teambuliding, engagement of their employees. Results show positive influenced people outperform those in a negative, toxic environment. I've been in toxic environments before but I couldn't imagine being in one near as bad as this football program has endured the past week.

The play of the players or coaching of the coaches wasn't the most embarrassing thing about the game today. It was the apathy of the "fans" who quit on this team this week and today. JMO

And another VN poster spewing utter nonsense. The "negativity" is an honest reaction to what we see happening to the program under the control of a coach way in over his head.

Ok. Just to get this straight. It is the fans fault we played bad?

If the coaches and players are that mentally soft, I don't know what to tell them other than what I grow a pair.

I take the blame.

And I fired myself.
After decades, I let my Season Tickets go.
Have not been to a game in 4 years.
Rarely watch on tv more than a fleeting glance.
If I do go to tailgate and enjoy friends, food and libation, I come home and take a nap.

I take the blame. I am done!!!! :hi:

Please stop. You are giving Wilco a bad name.

I’m not one who thinks the negativity helps in any way. But at the end of the day the coaches have to coach and the players have to play. Today was just awful.

Totally agree.

If the OP is even close to being true... Jones really is done. When fans get upset... a coach OWNS it and runs with it.

Pretty good assessment of the week. No wonder our team failed to get off the bus today!

Tennessee was trash today on offense. You know how you stop the negativity you are stupidly blaming everyone for? Win like you are supposed to against one of the worst teams in college football. I don't think you understand that UMass has a record of 10-55 since joining the FBS. Tennessee is a back to back 9 win team with top 10 talent everywhere. On our worse day this should be a 4 score win not 4 points. The negativity is 100% on CBJ two weeks running without question.

Fans didn't lose to Florida and they didn't suck buttcheeks on the field today. The caretaker of Tennessee football lead Tennessee to a very embarrassing win today.
