Fall season won't be the same. Trading jabs with my father in-law was half the fun. He was a Booster for both Alabama and Tennessee for years. He never wanted to miss a TN-AL game. He grew up in TN and AL, but was born in Alabama.....and he rooted for TN every game but the day they'd play Bama. I can tell you it was excruciating at times, when I'd go to a Bama Tennessee game down in Tuscaloosa, he'd have me go in with him to the elitest Bama tents, The snotty ones where they bring out the fine china, and everyone sounds like Foghorn Leghorn, and I would be the ONLY one there in Orange. I do mean the ONLY one. That was okay though I gave em as good as I got it. It was always good natured fun between us though. I loved that ole man.Rest In Peace Gardener Scott. My father in-law. One of the best damn men I ever knew. Marine, Pastor, and Parole Officer. Friend, brother, and second dad. I was privlaged to genuinely love both my in-laws. You don't go looking for in-laws when your dating. I just lucked into that. Please pray for my son. He was very close and this is the first death he has had to experience. They were pals.
I don’t see UT hats like that one unless my dad grabs his collection from the closet. My wife is going through pictures with mom, and just unlocked incriminating evidence. That lil bugger……. He DID used to wear Orange. View attachment 748381
More about the mud and risk of tens of thousands of cars being stranded come Monday morning after 5+ straight days of rain and people walking all over the place.WTF?
Seriously? Weather?
I remember him from Hee Haw and the Jim Varney Ernest movies. He was also CD Parker in the "Pilot" episode of Walker, Texas Ranger before they went with the older Noble Willingham when the show got picked up to series .
