Resident Evil 3 Remake.

So getting all the achievements/trophies seems to be not that difficult, because you can gain points for doing in game challenges and in turn buy things. Like healing coins, attack coins, and stuff like the infinite rocket launcher. So I have 2 achievements left, beating on Inferno and getting an S rank on Inferno. You have to beat the game in under 2 hours and save 5 times or less to get an S rank.

I have all the "cheats" unlocked and with the coins and infinite rocket launcher getting through the game is pretty cake....until the final Nemesis form. He is an absolute B**** on Inferno (and actually on Nightmare too). Even with all the coins and the infinite RL. Dude has has an attack that's pretty much an instant kill even with all the special items. I've died 15 times in a row trying to kill him.

How different are enemy and item layouts on Nightmare and Inferno? I've only played through it once on Hardcore so far.

So far my rating is 7/10. It's a good game but it's not even close to a good remake imo. Nemsis first form isn't present enough and too many locations from the first are taken out. Still was fun and had some tense moments though. Game is one of the best looking I've ever seen.

Not really that different IMO, it's mostly they throw more enemies at you in places they weren't.

I'm hoping Capcom gets pressured enought to do some DLC for the game. I always thought the original RE3 felt like an expansion to the original RE2 more than a sequel, and this remake even moreso feels like an expansion to RE2 Remake than a sequel. In fact I think this should have been about $30. I know they "gave" us Resistance too but I really don't care that much about it.

It's just so weird. Resident Evil 3 was the classic game that could of benefited the most from a remake. Nemesis could of been terrifying in this but he's not after the first city section. Locations could of been expanded upon but yet they were taken away and replaces by way more generic and lazy locations. Just feels rushed sadly.

Apparently word is RE4 Remake is being developed.

I'm playing through Code Veronica again, for the first time in probably a decade. And wow...it really needs a remake. It has not aged well and the more I play the more I realize it really wasn't that good. So many issues.

Yeah I'm not sure why they chose to skip over Code Veronica. I've tried to play CV recently and I just can't fully get into it.

On the RE 4 remake....I'm super concerned now. It's basically being handled by the same people that did the RE3 remake and not the RE2 Remake. I really hope they stay more true to the original this time around. Remaking RE 4 is a gigantic task, it's seen as one of the best video games of all time to a lot of people. Though of course, it's a vastly different type of game than RE 2 and RE 3 so maybe it'll be an easier remake in ways.

Also all the rumors are RE8 will be out in 2021 and RE4 Remake will be out in 2022. It seems like Capcom wants a yearly RE release.

The only positive I can think of for an RE4 Remake is it would be nice if they could tie the story back into the Umbrella storyline better. I love RE4 but storywise is where it really went to crap. They basically wrote off Umbrella in the first minute of the opening then tried to lazily work back in Wesker and Ada. I'd rather they retcon parts of RE4 so that it's more tied into the whole Umbrella conspiracy.

But really.....do Code Veronia. I just go to the end and because I had forgotten how the game screws you over if you don't know how to store weapons, I have no ammo for the final boss.

Yeah truthfully RE4 is more of a spin off lol I like the story but it really doesn't have much connection with the previous games.

I know they went through about 3 versions of RE4 before they got to the one they stuck with. The first one became Devil May Cry. The second was the infmaous "hook man" demo where Leon was infected the whole game and would see hallucinations. The third was close to the final copy but I think I read it was more in line with the Umbrella storyline. I even read that Osmund Saddler was originally Oswell Spencer and the big castle you go through was his.

The Resistance game is flawed but its fun playing the Survivors with friends

Some people made a fan game where they modded RE4 and redid Resident Evil Remake in the same style. Really cool especially for a fanmade game.
