Resident Evil 3 Remake.

Saw it posted that the Demo dropped today. Looks good as hell especially the detail

Graphics are amazing. Nemesis seems like a real pain in the ass, but at least you can actually juke most/all of his attacks if you're fast enough.

That’s what he’s suppose to be if it were easy it would be boring. I really hope they continue these and get them all done.

I played the demo last night. It's pretty short but great. I kind of hope they ramped up the Nemesis just for the demo because if he is like that all game then this game might be pretty difficult in spot. He is WAY more relentless in the demo than the original game, and you can't just run over a few screens to get away. So pretty similar to Mr X in Resident Evil 2 Remake, but this time instead of just walking fast towards you, Nemesis runs, jumps ahead of you and grabs you from a far.

You do have an easy dodge that is very useful though. It took me about 3 tries before I could get through the whole demo without dying.

I didn't say he should be easy. But in the original you could put him down if you dedicated ammo to the cause. In this you can only stun him temporarily.

That’s odd because maybe I’m wrong but I thought you had to defeat him toward the end?

Yeah but in the original if you shot him enough he would "die", leaving ammo and would stop chasing you a while. It wasn't permanent, but he wouldn't come to life after about 30 seconds. In the new one he just sort of goes to one knee for about 30 seconds.

I believe it's confirmed in the full release he will drop stuff like the original RE 3 instead of just dropping to a knee for a few seconds.

I guess that makes sense because after he appears in the demo you only have about 3 minutes left of gameplay.

I'm playing through other RE games in anticipation and I'm playing RE4 on Professional mode. Man this is harder than I thought it would be; mostly because 2 hits kill you and you run out of ammo very easily.

I also wish they could release the original PS games on PS4 and Xbox One.

Hell RE4 can be hard at times on normal difficulty. One of the greatest games ever made but it's kinda janky to play today as well. I tried a run through on professional a couple years ago and only made it to the Castle.

I kind of rage quit yesterday. I got in the castle and got into the room where you have to get a crank to come up, then crank it, then cover Ashley while she cranks another one. I had forgotten about that room and it was bad enough on normal. But on Pro it's a nightmare AND I have little ammo. In the older versions there is a glitch that after you raise the crank and leave the room and come back the enemies either disappear or they ignore you, but I couldn't get it to work. So I'm going to have to start back from an earlier save and try like mad to save ammo to get to that point.

Nemesis is actually annoying in the demo, lol. He can nearly teleport in front of you it seems like, with crazy reach. Also, the zombies take on quite a few head shots before finally going down.

I understand the RE3 games have always been short, but these days you need to at least have 10+ hours in a game at the bare minimum.

6 hours to beat. Ouch.

That’s like 3 nights, I may have to just hold off until this one is $20

Same here. RE2 holds a special place in my heart so that was a no-brainer, day one purchase for me. But RE3 wasn't my jam as a kid. I had already moved onto Dreamcast when it came out.

Reviews for this game are all over the place. Oh well, RE 3 was (weirdly I know) my favorite classic RE game personally so I'm still buying this right away. Can't resist. Lol

That's not really that short for an RE game historically, and that's 6 hours if you don't watch the cutscenes. That's about how long it took me to beat Resident Evil 2 Remake.

I liked RE3, but it always felt like an expansion to RE2 more than a full fledged sequel. Which originally what it was supposed to be and Code Veronica was supposed to be the actual RE3. But Sony balked at RE3 being on the Dreamcast first so a lot of corporate politics made it end up like we have it.

I'm almost to the end on Standard difficulty and I'm at almost 8 hours of gameplay, not counting cutscenes. So far I like the game, but I'm finding the next to last fight (at least I think it is) against Nemesis to be some bulls***. I've blown the heck out of him and he's not dead. I have 3-4 healing items and I got stuck in a sequence where the Nemesis hit me and I fell. It doesn't let you pull up the item menu until you stand back up but he hit me again and I fell and then hit me again and I died. That's bulls***.

So I beat Standard. I probably give the game a 8/10. It's not as good as RE2 Remake and like RE2 I prefer the original to the remake, but it's still pretty good.

I've only made it to the sewers as Jill so far, I didn't like how you blitzed through Uptown Racoon City in the intro. I loved exploring that part of the city in the original but on well, so far what I've played has been solid. Still got half the game or more to go by the sounds of it
