That French Laundry fiasco is the new bar for tone deaf elitism as far as I’m concerned and that singular stupid act is disqualifying for me. Dont even need to visit the financial disaster that is California on his watch. At this point he should just embrace it because it will be brought front and center at every whistle stop. His bs French Laundry restaurant move is far worse than that. And that alone is enough for me to never vote for him. And mock those who do.
Why do you expect one side to continue to play by the rules when the other side has never done so?“My reaction to watching another governor screw his constituents over is to screw my constituents over!”
F-ing brilliant logic.
Not surprising for a man who thinks so little of the people he governs
And yes this Texas re-drawing of the map is horse ****
I criticized Texas. My point is the Governors obligation is to the people of California. Not the House. He's intentionally screwing his people. Just like that fraud in Texas. Both are scumbagsWhy do you expect one side to continue to play by the rules when the other side has never done so?
Texas has more registered Democrats than Republicans, btw, are they served by being further disenfranchised by a minority government that maintains itself via gerrymandering?
Yeah you criticize Texas with the old " oh well it's Republicans, it should be expected."I criticized Texas. My point is the Governors obligation is to the people of California. Not the House. He's intentionally screwing his people. Just like that fraud in Texas. Both are scumbags
No, I called it horse ****. I made no excuse or brought up republicansYeah you criticize Texas with the old " oh well it's Republicans, it should be expected."
Any state that has an independent commission on redistricting, should end it and redraw their maps to minimize the Republican vote, and then a Democrat in Congress can put forth a bill to mandate independent redistricting commissions, and Republicans can decide if they want to vote against it again or not.
Everyone plays by the rules, or no one.
“Continue to play by the rules”?Why do you expect one side to continue to play by the rules when the other side has never done so?

California has an independent commission on redistricting.“Continue to play by the rules”?
Who has been playing by the rules in this scenario? Is it California?
It’s certainly not Texas. But who exactly?
And yet R got near 40% of the vote in ‘24. People register for different reasons, some in this very forum have explained theirs.California has an independent commission on redistricting.
California is 45% registered Democrats, 24% Republicans, and 21% declined to specify party.
Republicans hold 9/52 seats.

There is no comparison between them and Texas.
Fair enough. So I gather you hold the same opinion of Texas Governor Abbott.“My reaction to watching another governor screw his constituents over is to screw my constituents over!”
F-ing brilliant logic.

That’s funny since you don’t list political party on your TX voter registration card.
Tell us exactly how you know they have more “registered” democrats?

Are There More Democrats In Texas Than Republicans?
Texas is an open partisan primary state, which means it does not have to register voters by party affiliation. When voters go to the polls in the primary, they can freely choose between a Republican and a Democratic ballot.ivn.us
How does one vote “unaffiliated”?View attachment 764050

So there’s not more Democrats than Republicans in Texas. There are more Democrats voting in primaries than there are Republicans voting in primaries. In Texas, vote in a general election without voting in either primary.
It's a stupid way to categorize voters, but it's Texas, so doing things the stupidest way possible is to be expected.
So there’s not more Democrats than Republicans in Texas. There are more Democrats voting in primaries than there are Republicans voting in primaries.
Or at least people voting for Democrats in primaries.
Yea that’s weird.
There are more people that voted for Democrats in primaries.By the way Texas categorizes voters, yes there are more Democrats in Texas than Republicans.
