But you can just go over or under or break the wall. Hell, Mother Nature has already destroyed some of Trump's wall, illustrating the well-voiced criticism that maintenance will be a money pit. You can also enter legally and overstay, which (last I checked) is the most common method. Right now, a huge portion of the chaos at the border pertains to refugees and asylum seekers. Is a complete wall a deterrent on some level? Yes. Would it be much more than a dent? Doubtful. Will we get our money's worth? Not a chance in hell.

Hahaha. Blame the contractor when ultimately, it's government failure. People who have been around the block accounted for this possibility when Trump promised ridiculous results, and that's why we made fun of him the whole time and have been proven right. He didn't build anything remotely close to a complete wall. He didn't make Mexico pay for it. And his wall is a POS. But sure, let's pass the buck to the contractors. It certainly doesn't stop with Trump for you guys.

Oh, I'll agree Trumps' Wall revolved around a rushed and possibly shoddy plan, but I won't go so far as blaming Trump for that. The dems were all over the plan that they supported before they didn't, and it was clear they planned to stop it by any means possible. Trump clearly rushed it to get something done before it was shut down. Yep, it certainly could have been done better; people in all walks of life cut corners when there are time or monetary constraints - the wall wouldn't be the first casualty.

The article you attached is a political hatchet job. It says six - count 'em 6 - floodgates were torn off their hinges and others "impacted" without mentioning how many gates were unaffected. Makes you wonder if "impacted" just means floodwater pushed on them or some of that dreaded debris mentioned in the article wrapped around them. I guess we could blame any number of presidents and other politicians for allowing the building of FL houses that were recently torn off their foundations - after all, nobody stopped irresponsible people from building houses in inappropriate locations; and according to you the blame goes to the top rather than the implementation end.

Here's another question unaddressed in the article. Did the floodgates actually function as intended? We're they basically the equivalent of a shear pin in rotating equipment or a fuse in electrical equipment and meant to fail under a certain load as a failsafe mechanism?

An exclusive Fox News report details a September 24, 2021, email, obtained by the Heritage Foundation via a Freedom of Information Act request.
