Tennessee returns to the field this week for game #3 against Tennessee Tech. K folks... I'm short on time and I've never seen at match-up predictor more heavily slanted than the 99.5% chance of victory we see above... let's just move on here without a lot of filler.
Keys to Victory: Stuff to do to get better.
1. Penalties: Have a lot less of them. Play clean ball. We can't have that nonsense going on in SEC play.
2. Improved QB Play: I don't care who it is, just get better. If Milton can go, give him a half and Hooker a quarter and a half with Bailey getting two series. If Milton cannot play, give Hooker three quarters and Bailey a quarter. Everyone should get a chance to play here and there should be fireworks galore as Heupel looks to practice the deep ball multiple attempts per possession.
3. Tighten up the OL: Tennessee Tech's DL is the size of our linebackers. Lord help us if we can't handle them up front. If Milton can play he can't hold the ball forever, even if he can, he can't develop that bad habit. Hooker won't need to run much so he can work on his passing with good OL protection.
4. Heal up: Hold out the guys who are banged up a bit. We need them starting next week, not this one.
Prediction: Tennessee Tech is outmatched in every single facet of the game in spades. Most of their players would have played for the Vols if they were given the chance. Heupel is relentless in the play calling as he looks to set the tone for the rest of the season and the Vols can't be stopped all day long. Enjoy this one... it's the best the Vols will look all year.
