You could make a legitimate argument that South Carolina is less talented than any team we faced in the first seven weeks. Yes, I know we played Ohio.

Against teams not named UMASS, SC has scored

against vaunted defenses consisting of Kentucky, East Carolina, and Mississippi State, among others.

How's that for well thought out?

Now, let's hear your well thought out response, Cat.

We are scrambling on defense. They have a new QB that can sling it. We have weak DBs. It's at Scar. All these things will make this game tighter than we would like.

Our defense should be extra excited for what SC has to roll out at QB.

We get McDowell and Kirkland back, plus coming off a bye week.

The only way SC stays in this game is if they keep it low scoring.

Their QB passed for 201 yards against UMASS. Let's not act like he lit them up.

South Carolina's leading rusher is currently 28th in the SEC in rushing yards.

South Carolina's leading WR is currently 20th in the SEC in receiving yards.

South Carolina's QB will be making his first start against a non 1-7 FBS independent school.

Bonus points if anyone can actually name a player on SC's roster without looking it up.

This is the problem with sado-masochist like C-bone, he loves the pain and equally enjoys dragging the rest of us with him. Optimism is good for you. You should try it sometime.

The Vols have opened as a 14 point favorite. If I was a betting man, I would take SC and the points.

I think our team is 25 or so points better, but I just can't trust this team to play a solid game for 4 quarters. I'm still going to take UT - 14 but I think it'll be close to that.

I'm usually nega/realistic like you and tend to be on the same page, but this week with the O line coming back to full strength, adding some much needed guys back on D, and two weeks to recharge the battery, I think we roll these cocks... I think we see Dobbs run a LOT more than we've seen since Kamara is out and this will throw them on their heels all game.

Realistic? Have you seen Cat post during the game? lol I think you both are underestimating your own team and giving SC way to much credit. As far as our offense, other than Bama we have put up over 30 points on teams. Our O line will be back and one of our best LB's.

Vols should win big, 41-15...

I don't even think debords awesome play calling can keep ut below 30. Hopefully our awesome defense can get on a roll and get some experience and healed up heading into Atlanta

28-14. These games against USC are always close. I think that we play down to our competition and then break away in the fourth.

Talent differential rarely seems to matter in this series. Add to that Muschamp's defensive coaching ability, Tennessee's propensity to play down to their competition, and all the injuries and I expect this to be another nailbiter. I'll obviously be disappointed, but not particularly shocked, if we drop this one. Something just feels off in this game.

Not picking on you but if this is a nailbiter then this team will not win the east. This is assuming OL gets everyone back as expected and Kirkland. USC is really bad and could be the worse team we have played this year. Yes, I know we have played App State and Ohio.
