Didn’t have a projection.
Silly to make predictions on the unknown.

I like to take it one game at a time and see the results and how we play.

We won on the road and played well below our potential.
So yes I believe if we played up to what we’re capable of we win by 14 maybe more.

And to add to my comment about Blitzing… when is the last time we sent a corner blitz? We used to send those the first couple of years and have guys come flying in out of nowhere. What has happened to those blitzes?

He made a big play on the TD drive to tie the game on a 3rd down reception where he willed himself to get past the sticks for a first down.

But besides that, he was bad.

All the starting receivers made big plays on that final drive.

He won a game in overtime he should have won by 2 TD’s in regulation .

I tend to agree to an extent. Clock management sucked on the final drive. Offensive execution was lacking for a chunk of the game. I don’t even want to talk about the defense.

At the end of the day, though, what does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? Winning by less on the road in SEC play than what perhaps we should have is a whole lot better than the alternative, an alternative we’ve had a ton of experience with in the pre-Heupel days. I like to be thankful for what we have despite its imperfections.

The D line didn't run fit or set the edge well at all against the run game. Our linebackers had problems as did the safeties against the run.

I think they were better against the pass.

Yeah we didn’t fit well. I agree but this offense, like we have been accustomed to, creates situations numbers wise and really makes you need three solid slot guys or rovers (I call them) to make it work. Usually that’s when unathletic LB’s get exposed… so another situation is how lean do you want to be to pick up the speed you need to play the position but when they pull a linemen or suck you up in the box now you disadvantaged… this system works because of those problems that it creates… so the usual answer is gotta have some dude interior DL to let those over hangs be a little leaner to deal with the pass and your LB’s can play a little tighter to clean up the ball carrier…

VN needs to have someone at the press conferences to ask all of our questions. Like why Boo didn't start the game returning punts? Or what was up with the clock management? Or why do our WRs struggle to catch? Or why is our defense so inconsistent?
