Tennessee stuns CFB this weekend. Jumps out early to a 17-0 lead. Georgia doesn’t get their offense going until it’s too late and they break one last time in the 4th quarter. 2 or 3 major coverage busts happen for Georgia that lead to 70+ yard TDs by Payton, Evans, Hyatt even breaks one and Alontae snags another pick six at some point.

This is their 2017 Auburn game

Tennessee: 38
Georgia: 24

We will score more than 13.

The issue will be how many 3 and outs or quick possessions we have without scoring. Their defense is legit and will cause us some fits.

And their offense is good enough to take advantage a tired and depleated defense.

The have the better o line and d line.

Ain't NOBODY carrying Heupel off the field.

I could see it in the headlines now. "Tennessee pulls off the upset. Does it injury free. Then loses three starting linemen trying to carry Heupel off the field".
We would be bowl eligible. They could take the next few weeks off to recover!!

We also beat Missouri and USCe worse than they did, so that’s a useless argument.

We beat Mizzu by 38, they won by 37 but only gave up 6. They only beat SC by 27 because of a late SC TD, we won by 25 after a late TD to put it out of reach. We still had our starters in late, UGA didn't.

I would argue we're on the same level currently as Auburn, Arky and UK. UGA had 0 issues with these teams.

UGA is a similar team to UK with 10x better athletes. So if UK is going to have as much success as they did, what makes you think UGA won't have even more success on O? I don't see us sustaining drives. All of our points will be off explosive plays like Bama, except UGA is better. They're going to make Aaron Beasley look like a D3 player. Bennett's going to look like Manziel at times.

We've made a lot of progress and I'm proud of this group, but I just don't see it.

Last year's team put up 21 on Georgia in Athens. I think we get at least 30. If we can make them pass they do throw picks, so maybe we can get another pick 6. We held Ole Miss to 31 at home, and that is a much more potent offense.

Different level D this year. And Bennet has only thrown 4 INTs. Daniels more likely to be picked but Bennet gets the majority of the snaps now. They’re really efficient on offense.

UGA beat UK by 17. We beat UK at their place with very little D. We find more D and lose by less than UK because we are better than UK. This impresses the bowls and we end up in Florida for a bowl game. That impresses recruits and we end up with a top ten class.

Science.

The defense isn't that much different than last year. They held Auburn to 6 points and Ark to 10 and Kentucky to 3 in 2020. They haven't played a faster paced O this year yet. Last year Miss St put up 24. I'm not saying we win, but it being a home game I think we at least aren't blown out by the end of the 3rd quarter. If we can keep it close going into the 4th-who knows? The Zebras will play a big factor in this game too.

They’re allowing 6.6 ppg

In 2020 they allowed 20 ppg

The defense is VERY different this year. Agree they haven’t seen an O like ours. We also haven’t seen a D like theirs.

My big hope for this is that Georgia hasn't really played but one away game all year. Yes they rolled over Vandy in Nashville but there were more Georgia fans than Vandy at that game. That Auburn game Georgia just threw long bomb passes. We will score more than Auburn for sure cause Bo nix is not good.

They played Clemson in Charlotte with a crowd that heavily favored Clemson. Also played Florida in Jacksonville. So it isn’t like a they’ve not played and played well on the road.

2020 was skewed by Alabama and Florida putting up 41 and 44. nobody else scored more than 16 except Miss State at 24

Last year we had four 5 star offensive linemen and a sixth year senior that helped us neutralize their biggest advantage. Our oline is way worse this year.

We show up and play. Zero expectations. Whatever happens, happens. We should end the season with 7 wins and go bowling in year zero with a drastically depleted roster. Go out and hit the recruiting trail and the portal to continue the rebuild into year 1. Go Vols!

And we’re a couple of plays away from 9-3

Agreed. Play tough and avoid injuries. I don’t care what the score is at the end.
