With the quickness!

Unfortunately, I just don't think we can block their DL. Our OL just isn't good enough. But I do believe that our defense isn't as bad as we showed Saturday. We haven't played that bad all year. I think it was an outlier.

Our defense getting it together and GA's offense not being very good will keep us in the game but GA will pull away late due to some big defensive plays.

GA pulls it off 31-23

I really want to pick us to pull the upset of the year here. I’m not quite there yet, but I might be by Friday. I do think we play them tougher than anyone else has.
Was honestly feeling it more before this past weekend. Our rested defense looking that bad vs a UK offense has me feeling worse.

I had figured from the start that our best hope was for the defense to play the game of its life and win a low 20s game. Harder to see that happening now. Especially with their offense playing the way it has. They're pretty dang efficient themselves on O.

Here is the sad truth. Yes, Georgia has more talent right now that maybe any team in the country, especially on defense. They are desperate to win a national championship so people like us will quit nagging them about it. We know from history that Georgia plays dirty sometimes. They know that their chances of beating us go way up if they can knock Hooker out of the game. I won't be surprised if this happens. We also know that the SEC tends to protect teams that are headed for the playoff. All of this together does not give me much hope.

I would have thought them being the undefeated, #1 team in the country playing an unranked 5-4 Tennessee would have been enough to not have much hope. 🤷‍♂️

i have a feeling i'm gonna get real tired of watching Stetson Bennett the iv run around on 3rd downs.....

i don't have any misconceptions. the only way we have a shot, is if GA does, in fact, lay a big fat juicy egg. which, they are prone to do from time to time.

i don't think it will be this weekend, i think this is a bad match up all the way around on both lines of scrimmage. i don't see us being able to really pressure the qb or the run game, and i can't imagine they'll have a ton of trouble with our o line.

now, having said all that...UGA hasn't played from behind this year. so i think for us, we have to be thinking "how do we jump on these guys early?" i mean, i can't say that i'd think a 2 or 3 TD lead would be safe or anything, but it'd be interesting to see how they'd react to playing 'catch up'.

otherwise, i'm thinking somewhere around 45-20, them.

i think greatest trick UGA has pulled off this year is getting everyone to believe their offense is 'just ok'. they've got 3 RB's that almost anyone would love to have. they have a really good TE room, the o line is really good. the WR's...getting better, though maybe not as good as they'd like them to be.

and the QB...i mean...he's not flashy, but he makes plays when it counts.

they're a better version of UK, and we didn't make UK punt.

anyway, not to really disagree with you, i just think their offense is a lot better than credit is given. and that's got a lot to do with the defense. they don't have to take a lot of chances or do anything crazy. just be efficient....i don't expect that to change Saturday.

Thankfully, things are never as good or bad as they seem.

The defense isn't as bad as it looked last week. They should have had 3 picks. This week they make some plays and turn over a new leaf by only allowing a 35% conversion rate on 3rd down. Mangy dogs 28.

On offense, UGA discovers that if you tackle the receivers after they catch the ball UT doesn't score in 20 seconds (KY, watch closely and you might learn something). This allows TN to improve their TOP to nearly 25 min. But in the end the GA front 7 is just too tough. Good guys 24.

In the most ironic turn of events of the season, GA's elite defense slows our marches down the field. This inadvertently gives out defense something they're not used to.. a little rest.
Result - D steps up, keeps the score within striking distance and in the last drive, Heup pulls out plays that leave us all stunned, especially Kirby.

Headlines -TN shocks the CFB world, local poster chargervol wins the Powerball.
Booms all around!!

GA - ____
TN - ____ + 3

My emotions will be higher than a kite when TV coverage starts and VOLS run thru the T with 100K Big Orange fans giving it their all.
Regardless of the outcome, my emotions will be high once again as wife and I pass Neyland sunday on the way to Gatlinburgh for weeks vacation.
Defense becomes woke and tackling is a thing !

I have a feeling Jacob Warren is about to have a big game. Maybe Hyatt will finally break out as the star he has the potential to be. They are going to be all over Tillman/Payton so somebody else will have to step up in our receiving core

In my opinion, our only chance to win this game is to keep their final score under 30. I just do not think there’s any way we can score more than 30 points against that defense. We also have to be on the positive side of things with turnovers. +2 or more with at least one short field would be ideal. We have to play the perfect game to have a chance.

My big hope for this is that Georgia hasn't really played but one away game all year. Yes they rolled over Vandy in Nashville but there were more Georgia fans than Vandy at that game. That Auburn game Georgia just threw long bomb passes. We will score more than Auburn for sure cause Bo nix is not good.

Take away the Vandy game and they have only played one true road game. That is crazy this late in the season.

Program changing upset that accelerates our return to football prominence. Storm the field, throw water bottles into the stands from the field, and have Hooker direct POSB in victory. 41-38 Vols.
I would not storm the field over 1980

I am not impressed by their strength of schedule.

We can win this game.

We lost to UF and barely edged out UK. They beat them by a combined score of 64-20 lol.

35-31 Vols

We get a blocked punt and a punt return for a TD...Hendo Cinco Heisman poses after scoring the winning TD with less than a minute remaining. Heupel carried off the field..

It’s happening...:)

Ain't NOBODY carrying Heupel off the field.

I could see it in the headlines now. "Tennessee pulls off the upset. Does it injury free. Then loses three starting linemen trying to carry Heupel off the field".
