I have no clue what to expect. I think it's a very winnable game - just not sure that we do. If JG starts then I say we have less than zero shot. If we roll Bailey out there it'll be a fun game, hopefully.

Color me a homer:

Tennessee 27
Auburn 23

Every now and then, a team has just had enough. And the next game it plays, it takes all its frustration out on the team lined up across from them, no matter who it is.

This is not that game and the Vols are not there yet. But they will be coming and Hell's coming with them when they do.

Unfortunately, this will be a slop fest and Auburn lucks out as Auburn is wont to do.

7/1 odds for a loss per ESPN looks about right.

1) Oddsmakers have it around 10 points. Over/under around 50.5.

2) Scoring Offense: Auburn 28.3 PPG. Tennessee 20.7 PPG. Point differential (-10.8) PPG.
Scoring Defense: Auburn 22.8 PPG. Tennessee 31.5 PPG. Point differential (+5.5) PPG.
D) 31.5 - 22.8 = 8.7 PPG. O) 28.3 - 20.7 = 7.6 PPG. (-16.3) PPG differential

Schedule Impact: Vols one game harder with the Bama game having already been played, which skews the stats. Both teams coming off a bye. UT with two more losses. Auburn should have a loss to Arky that was stolen by the officials. Home field to Auburn.

Assuming everything else is the same with players and coaching (probably not, especially at QB if JG plays).

Split the difference of 16 and 10 points = 13 points

HB starts and plays the whole game:
Auburn 30
Vols 17

JG starts and plays most of the game:
Auburn 42
Vols 17

I have a clear case of overthinking the situation.

Only one key to victory needed here:

START A QB not named JG.

I think we win this one even if we tried to lose to get Hugh.

Because Tennessee.
