Recruiting forum off topic thread (no politics, covid, or hot button issues)

Doesn’t really matter in the end anyway. I read a report last night that said Cracker Barrel lost almost 60% of their earnings last year compared to the year before. I don’t think a logo flip-flop is going to save them when the whole thing comes crashing down.

Bad food quality and their failure to attract new customers is killing them and I guess they thought a rebrand would magically fix at least one of those problems. Red Lobster and Hooters and others are already closing down all over, Cracker Barrel won’t be the last.

Maybe we finally see these bland chains die off and small businesses start taking over again.
The microwave oven is at the core of their downfall. . .

Cracker Barrell is more about pride and hubris than politics. I think people chaffe most over common sense being ignored. Especially when it is common that it is their sense (of style, taste, nostalgia, etc).

That Sardar guy might be right, but he's also framing an argument to have him be the answer. Again, he's as much a villain as the current CEO.

And nothing in their whole plan says anything about quality. No quality, no customers. They might've changed their logo back, but the underlying problems remain.

Personally, for me. I like to go to AMC. And when they ask what size popcorn? I answer, 'chicken tenders please.'
Funny thing is, depending which one you go to they have actual food and their fingers are really good as is their burger. Far better than Cracker Barrel’s is. My son tried it and we got Burger King on the way home. This was back before they cut portion size in about half. If they disappeared it wouldn’t bother me at all except for all the people whose job depends on it, but their food now is terrible.

Yep..I saw that last night..their food quality has disappeared over the last few years. These idiots kill quality by trying to totally eliminate waste so as to maximize profits...but then people quit coming because the food obviously ain't the same and the profits totally disappear.

You'd think these ultra-lib woke geniuses that run all these big corporations would figure that out by now..but here we are.
well, lot's of big corporations not run by 'ultra-lib' woke geniuses. But yes, probably a 'bean counter' got control and undermined the busieness. That happens all the time. Sure, you cut costs but you killed revenue.

I looked it up....this stunt seems to have helped pulling the stock prices out of a nose dive.

July 23rd stock prices were at the highest in the last 6 months, but then a steady decline...

August 25th when all the news started buzzing it hit the 1 month low, now after the backtrack they're currently trending up...(not quite back to July 23rd prices yet)

Just seems like a "dump and pump" stunt... it's all a work...back in April they were down $20 more per share than they are right now... so this media thing didn't even tank them to lowest point of year.
People are way too easily manipulated and triggered.

worst catfish Ive ever been served was at a Cracker Barrel. Was basically oil dipped fish infused cornbread.
Terrible, horrendous food and atmosphere (and the demo feels like a group that would be playing the penny slots while dragging on a cig...while on a ventilator).

That said, I did meet Brian Wilson there. Also enjoyed the pin game. Not all bad.

I went to Cracker Barrel about a month back. It'd been a while since I had gone. I was surprised by how they had cut the portion size, and quality had definitely taken a hit.

Why do I feel as tho that this kid flipping is simply a VolNation pipe dream? All I heard was TN was likely to land Gray and we find out we weren’t in it to start with. It was SC or LSU. Keys has continued to peer recruit for LSU. I feel a lot of people on here are going to be disappointed.
People on here still believe that Austin Price still knows anything. He legitimately does not. He used to, but folks were walking outside with masks on the last time AP had legit info.
