I wouldn't really go with the shadow skylines that everybody is going to.

I'd lean towards bringing back the outline of the state (and perhaps the V-O-L-S arched on either side, if they really want a throwback look).

Or making the center circle like the state flag with the 3 stars in orange and white.

Keep the checkerboards under the baskets.

Just something other than that arched Tennessee that is an absolute snooze-fest.

Yeah, it is a little boring the way it is. I like the idea of the state outline.

While we are randomly bringing up topics, odds of Nashville getting baseball...

Projected that Nashville will be the size of Denver in 5 years. Clay Travis said there is some talk about Tampa Rays interest here.

I think it would work.

If any of you are ever in jacksonville, we have a few micros and fancy pants beer joints. World of Beer has a large selection. Intuition and Bold City is in the hippie part of town and are micro breweries just to name a few.

Can't be any worse than the Tampa or Miami franchise, attendance wise.

Bring it on. Count me in for 5-10 games a season. I go to Cincy and have been to Atlanta. I sure as heck would go to Nashville. I think Nashville would support it. It's turned into a pro sports town.

I'd be down to go too! I'm a braves and rangers fan, and that wouldn't change, but I love going to a new MLB ballpark.

As for the Rays, they should! Having to suffer through the Trop all these years while consistently fielding great teams year in and out. It's a travesty.

I never take anything he says serious when it comes to recruiting. Im not sure he actually follows it that much. The day that Chuma was committing, Hooker said he predicted him to South Carolina because his notes said USC
Wow really? That's why I don't listen to him. I try to catch good interviews on TSR and the occasional Swain Event but that's about it

Yeah. He doesnt really know much. He always gets Callahan on the phone and asks him what he thinks about certain prospects. I listen to TSR when Im working (delivering mail), and Im usually on the road from 945-1 CST, so I basically only listen to Hooker lol. I hate it because he doesnt know anything and all he does is advertise where hes at

:good!:

I listen to his show about once every month. I generally just listen to the EA show.

Have family there. Dukes is a good local beer.

Which city within driving distance do people think have the best local brewing scene? I need a destination for a three day weekend. Asheville is high on my list so far, but what do y'all think?

Do yourself a favor and head to Asheville...great city and great beer town. Also, 3rd annual Ashville Beer Week coming up in May...I've went to both the 1st and 2nd and will be there again this year.

Asheville Beer Week

I agree with ljeller, Asheville is an amazing beer town. It's hard to beat if you're looking for a 3 day weekend getaway where beer is a big deal. There are a ton of places to go while there but two I recommend you definitely go to are Thirsty Monk and Wicked Weed, you won't be disappointed. :good!:

Per Rob Lewis, Coach Tyndall has secured the 1st commitment... Jabari McGhee

"McGhee (6-7, 210 pounds) from Hargrave Military Academy. McGhee is the kind of prospect that you're going to find yourself recruiting if you're in Tennessee's shoes at this time of year with very few uncommitted players still available.

He's got a great reputation as a high-energy guy and a hard worker. At 6-7, he's also a long and bouncy athlete who impacts the game in more ways than one. What he's not at this stage is a highly skilled player or gifted with a particularly well-developed physique.

With depth a severe issue facing Tyndall & Co. right now though, McGhee is someone you take a very long look at because of his athleticism and potential upside."

Please tell me this discussion isn't leaking into this thread too... Can't we just make some Jameis Winston crab jokes and not kick that dead horse...

You mean these?
