It's not something I watch a ton of, but if my wife is working a 12hr shift on a Friday I'll watch it.

I mainly want to see a competitive game more than anything. They can be hard to find some nights.

The Braves fired GM Frank Wren today. I was expecting that to happen, some of his player moves have not worked out. I'm wondering if Fredi survives the cuts or is he gone too? If their pitchers that's out for arm surgery make it back and stay healthy and they pick up 5-6 players that can actually get hits we may see a better Braves team next year. If not, we will have another bad year next year.

New ownership...Liberty Media is a soulless glob...then raid the Cardinals for President down to manager...both for the club and the minors...only thing worth saving is the scouting department...except for Wren's brother who quit. :yess:

Getting all four wisdom teeth cut out Wednesday morning..definitely not excited about it at all.

Any advice on what to expect? I know it's different for everybody but I'm curious about the recovery and stuff.

I'll definitely take WHATEVER precautions I have to to avoid a dry socket..I've heard horror stories about them.

I got dry socket. Woke up screaming in pain. Literally.

OBEY their directions of alternating ice and heat and the meds. Don't mess around.

Also, if it's hurting really bad, don't believe the assistant that tells you at your return visit that, "you had surgery, you didn't stub your toe." (Really pissed me off - especially when I found out at my dentist's office the next day that it was dry socket.) By the way, clove oil fixed it in about an hour. Who'da thunk?

I helped a friend move the next day. No pain meds besides Tylenol. I swelled up a bit, but other than that no problems. Everybody is different. Good luck!

They're going to give you a lot of drugs. Avoid the oxy and stick to the lortabs, unless you enjoy feeling worse than you already did.

Keeping my gauze in at all times helped sooth the pain tremendously. I lost a lot of weight too, because I barely ate anything for a couple weeks.

I was also really cautious, though.

I had all four at once and never had any problems. I took painkillers for like a couple days after and then just took Advil. Was eating normally before a week was up. Granted I was 18 when I got them pulled. I don't know if I would bounce back as quickly now.

It wasn't so bad for me. Didn't eat solid foods for a couple days. I didn't even take pain meds because I couldn't swallow pills at the time. Good luck!

Wife just got hers out yesterday. Keep the pads/gauze in for as long as possible. The longer you can bear to have them in, the less likely you'll get dry socket. Don't suck on anything. Go as long as possible without solid food. Our dentist said a week if you can go that long.

Don't be stupid is the main thing though. It's major surgery. Rest a lot. Take your meds. Don't eat solid food.

I definitely plan on being as cautious as I can. I'm the OCD/neat freak/germaphobe type anyway.

Don't plan on eating anything for as long as I'm able to. I'm kinda worried about drinking anythjng in general. I know not to drink anything out of a straw but I'm worried about like the sucking action you create when you swallow..surely it won't be enough to create a dry socket but who knows.

Thanks for the help though guys.

I know, twss.

Clay Travis going off on the Bammers tonight lol

Alabama Students Are Questioned About Their Football Team | FOX Sports

@ClayTravisBGID: Alabama fans lead the nation in small-penised men telling other men to suck large penises.

@ClayTravisBGID: It’s pretty remarkable, but 90% of the Bama 85% have goatees. Almost never fails. If you have a goatee and graduated from Bama, shave it.

He's got all of their Twitter fans riled up

It says the video was removed. Wonder why?

So, since this is the off topic forum I thought I would post this here. Two of my boys shot a modified 600 in the state 4-h archery tournament Saturday. 600 possible points. The oldest boy shot 18 arrows at 50 yards, 18 at 40 and 24 at 30, maximum 10 points each. He is 13. The younger boy (9) shot 18 at 30, 18 at 20 and 24 at 10. The oldest shot 568 and the younger shot 570. The younger boy got 3rd in the state (it was his first time shooting this style in competition) and the oldest boy got 1st place. Thought this would be a good place for a proud daddy to brag on his boys that worked really hard.

:)

Edit: added photos. boy in red in one pic and light blue in other.
