The cognitive dissonance is strong on here today. This Is what you said for why you weren’t wearing a mask:
this COVID-19 nonsense is overblown BS that has already wrecked our economy and needs to end.
So either you think wearing a mask is continuing to hurt the economy or you think by not wearing a mask that you’re making the virus go away?
Well that's good you aren't. Genuinely. But you just said you posted that only to trigger people and were glad if people were. Troll tendencies. But you have time to reverse courseI never said I was "just here to troll." Are you the straw man argument guy on the board? There's always one. Is it you?
The original question was is football any good in the Houston area.
But, from Mont Belvieu / Baytown (East) to Katy (West), Conroe (North) to Pearland & League City (South) and almost Rosenberg (South West) Is one mass of humanity. I live in Mont Belvieu, and have to drive to Katy for meetings on occasion. it's approximately 65 miles and you hardly see a green space anymore.
They are in the process of finishing the final leg of the Grand Parkway. It's a third loop around Houston. It already stretches from Sugarland, Cypress, Tomball, Spring and then New Caney. They are in the process of building from Mont Belvieu (I-10) to New Caney. South of I-10 it connects to 146. They will finish up connecting Sugarland to Kemah/Seabrook area on 146. It is nuts. The total length when finished will be 184 miles. It is absolutely nuts.

Bow season is long. Like 3-4 months, I think. They do have a rifle season (two dates, actually), but it is short.I assume they’re bow hunters. I hunted SE Ohio several years back for the few days their gun season runs - the last time I did rifles weren’t allowed. Just slug guns and muzzleloders. Meh
You are talking to f'n walls man...they will all just go on demeaning you for having common sense...the f'n idiots will have us all wearing masks forever now...there will never be an end to this virtue signaling load of horsecrap..."If you don't wear a mask every time you go out, you are a selfish pig"...heard during 2022 common cold epidemic.Seems to me that if we put off this thing running it’s course and developing herd immunity to a mild virus, that opening up completely is prolonged. We can’t lock down until we have a vaccine
I know the area well from 40+ years ago. Lived in Dayton for 1 yr, Willis 2 yrs and Spring Branch 2yrs. Spring Branch was at the time the edge of the metropolis. The original question was is football any good in the Houston area.

It is a casualty that didn't have to happen...a casualty of stupid fearful overreaction, not Covid-19.I hate it for the kids, but you have to dig a little deeper. Unless I see differently, I am of the opinion that any business/organization that has to severely cut or file bankruptcy after the pandemic was already in trouble. Strong brands have, so far, been fine.
In 2017, Akron athletics received $24 million from the university from nonathletic sources to pay for most of its budget. They actually disbanded their baseball team about 5 years ago and brought it back after pure donations funded the program.
Again, it's terrible for the kids. But, it will get labeled as a Covid-19 casualty when Akron athletics was already struggling. Maybe Vols4us and I can have a discussion on what the death certificate should say for these sports being cut.![]()
That's the way the interstate system is supposed to be in cities. It was an adjustment for me in Knoxville.Left Houston late 2018 after several years. Pretty much indistinguishable from one town to next. Lived in Houston off 249 near Tomball. The highway system is awesome hub and spoke with one way frontage roads.
Heaven forbid we try and protect the vulnerable. OMG! I'm so inconvenienced by having to wear a mask. It's unbelievable to me that y'all think it's such chore to wear a stinking mask. You are talking to f'n walls man...they will all just go on demeaning you for having common sense...the f'n idiots will have us all wearing masks forever now...there will never be an end to this virtue signaling load of horsecrap..."If you don't wear a mask every time you go out, you are a selfish pig"...heard during 2022 common cold epidemic.

I'm just doing my part in this thread

I wear a mask at work so save your effin breath...but I am not a fear zombie like you..Heaven forbid we try and protect the vulnerable. OMG! I'm so inconvenienced by having to wear a mask. It's unbelievable to me that y'all think it's such chore to wear a stinking mask.
You either believe that wearing a mask doesn't do any good, you don't care whether you might spread your germs to people that could be seriously harmed, or you just want to make some kind of rebellious statement. Which is it?
