Recruiting Forum Off Topic Thread III

Oh look, the tradition of dumping a whole thread chain that derailed a player thread into the off topic thread is back. Off season is in mid-swing now. Good job Morans.

I've asked Freak about having a dedicated recruiting thread in the FF so people can discuss the subject without offending the sensibilities of the regular posters in this forum. Maybe someday?

How about one where we can complain how doomed we are without Chip Kelly? :)

Is my avatar sideways?

I changed it on my computer, and it shows the correct orientation there.

On my phone, it shows 90 degrees off.

This is definitely off topic, but I started a YouTube channel recently where I stream games. Would really appreciate you guys subbing. YouTube just recently killed small channels basically and I can use any support you guys can give.

The Channel is Za Slayer Gaming and here’s the link. I could use some vol love on my channel! Thanks guys

Awesome! Small world!

My family is originally from Enville and Jacks Creek

I was born in Jackson and spent part of my youth in Jackson and part in Memphis, but in the late '60s when living in Jackson I remember we used to drive down to Jack's Creek to this BBQ place that was in a little white cinder block building with a tin roof. You got pulled white pork with white bread and beans, and it may have been the best BBQ I ever remember.

The Hut?

Come to east Tennessee near Elizabethton and go to Ridgewood. None better. I could go and just eat the beans.

No the Hut was in Jackson, not Jack's Creek, corner of Highland and Campbell, in what I assume is still referred to as Highland Park, although back then it was Hicksville. The house I grew up in was actually just a few blocks from The Hut. When I was in HS in Jackson I actually bussed tables at Georgia's, a restaurant that was beside The Hut. Georgia and her brother Johnny were Greek, and the food there was awesome. But, yeah, The Hut had pretty good BBQ, although I generally preferred getting BBQ from one of the many little BBQ shacks that were around town.

I know exactly the place. He’d grill up some amazing whole chickens that would fall off the bone. His red sauce was the best. I don’t think it’s there anymore, unfortunately
