If someone had not treated this like a joke for 2 months, maybe the market would not be crashing like it has. Don't care dem or repub, I just want the president to be presidential and lead like a leader and stop acting like a child. His divisive shtick is old. He's been a national embarrassment for 3 years, had an opportunity to so something great, and says it is insignificant and the legitimate response is a HOAX smdh. It is unreal to see unfold before our very eyes.

I'd take Reagan or Clinton, or just about any past president, right now. None of them were all about himself like this guy. He puts himself first every time. Always talking about himself and his egocentric paranoias. He is not a servant.

He voted Bernie in 16, but turned in them after basically screwing him over. So he doesn't like any of them Trump included

voting for bernie isn't a sign of being a democrat (in the same way not agreeing with trump doesn't NOT make you a republican, despite him trying to frame it that way). in fact, all those bernie-or-bust folks are about as anti-democrat as conservatives are. i like things about bernie, but he's been pretty vocal about waging war on the democratic establishment, as he sees it.

Bernie would be 3rd party if he could win there. He would be a lame duck anyway imo.

for sure, that's how he'd done it in the senate for however many decades now. he just has a problem with coalition-building, and that's what's undone him this election cycle. i think the party at-large is further left than biden (not quite as left as bernie), but biden was seen as a safer harbor to park your vote if your concern is beating trump.

They all are egotistical. He’s just open and honest with people and some don’t like it/ whine.

Obama was a two faced narcissist. So I would rather him not touch this issue.

He isn't part of our party. He can kick rocks.

Even the Dem Majority whip (Clyburn who resituated Biden's campaign) said this was a "tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision" Nothing about the American populace but only their vision. Reminds me of the Obamacare package when Pelosi said they had to pass the bill then they would read it to see what was in it. DRAIN the SWAMP and Term limits. Good for the executive branch, should be good for congress.

when the "vision" is to give hospitals more money, make sure sick people can take paid leave, keep $500B in corporate handouts accounted for, and make sure our elections are secure, yeah. I guess he's right. that sounds more aimed at the american populace than less money to hospitals, and private, undocumented corporate handouts. all the while blocking legislation to secure our elections. now why would R's keep trying to block that?

You conveniently did not mention the emissions, solar and wind credits and increased power to the unions (which only raises cost to the public and companies) which really pertain to the Corona virus. Continue to defend the Dems even though they care about themselves. All politicians basically care about 2 things: Get elected and then get re-elected.

lol, yes all of those things are good things and benefit us all (less pollution, less reliance on fossil fuels, better conditions and wages for workers). i've just listed ways that the dem bill benefits americans. explain to me how the R bill helps more people?

Democrats seem to think they have the best ideas until they are practiced in the real world. I work on the energy/ DOD side of things to put it vaguely. And those energy plans are solid horseshit.

slander with no details or nuanced counterpoint. very on brand.

a quick reminder that we're now up to three, i believe, republicans in congress that received early briefings as to the severity of the epidemic, told the public not to worry, and quietly sold off stock to the tune of a few million dollars. real "for the people" types.

I'm talking about someone sociopathically obsessed with himself. Which we know from his own words and lack of focus on others. I can't think of another president that talks about himself this much, rather than the country. Reagan, GHB, Clinton, GWB, Obama were all servants at the end of the day. They practiced Servant Leadership.

Brand? Slander? Little dramatic aren’t we?

We can go on and on all day, back and forth. The difference is I see the reality of your argument everyday as a job, you read about it from whatever source you deem truthful.

I can add that trickle down economics have never worked. But that has not stopped some conservatives from trying to implement them. I think both sides have some failed ideologies. The best path is somewhere in the middle, however somewhere compromise was made taboo.

i understand your job is attached to it so you see it differently, and i actually can respect that. but you keep claiming dems "only care about themselves" while seemingly ignoring example after example of republicans in congress and the executive enriching themselves while selling out citizens. that's what i keep trying to understand.

You’re correct, Sadly compromises aren’t possible it seems.

My job is essential regardless of what energy source is used. Only thing I’m arguing is these “wonderful “ alternative energy sources aren’t wonderful. They sound great, but they aren’t.

Wasn't ignoring you as I walked the dog to get fresh air. Don't disagree that some of those items are good, HOWEVER there is a time to negotiate and this is not the time since the Senate bill had bipartisan input but has been painted as a R bill. Critical to get some programs going for both the citizens and the markets. The rancor between parties has become and downward spiral for this country as career politicians put their self interest both all others which is why I am a supporter of term limits for ALL politicans even at the state level.

I'm just telling you what he says about himself. Point is I agree with most of Tim Pools views

i hear ya. it just seems that he has very little interest in the core planks of the historical dem platform, which is fine, i was only pushing back on the the notion that your average dem agreed with what he was saying.
