If the Bernman gets the nomination, and it is looking increasingly like he will, I would say there will be a huge vacuum created of people that can't stomach his socialist/communist platform but also can't pull the lever for Trump. If a third party like the libertarians ever had an opportunity to make itself relevant in a presidential election it looks like this is the year. IMO.
The fact remains, though, that a vote for a third party candidate is a wasted vote.

Mississippi isn't generally a bellwether for national political trends of any kind. The deep south may as well be its own country.

I agree, but MS is not the only place the transitions have been happening, just the first (that I know of) where that many legislatures from one party have switched at one time. NJ saw a switch during the impeachment hearings. A lot of old moderate Democrats don't like being told how to vote on issues by younger, more radical Dems running some of the state parties.

I don’t want the Coronavirus by any means, just like I don’t want flu or a cold. But the zeitgeist behind it making it seem like the zombie apocalypse is ridiculous. The media uses fear as click bait. Surely no one regardless of political side would disagree?
I have a few friends in govt agencies that say the coronavirus is worst then what the media is saying. Some are saying to put anywhere between 1-3 months supplies away. Hopefully nothing happens.

I got you. I do wish somebody would make a stand against the national debt. I hate it when the politicians say we have to raise the debt ceiling or we will default. No we won't. We just won't be able to spend more than we take in because the credit card will be maxed out. Our government is the only entity that I know of that can just up it's own credit limit and keep on spending. I could balance the budget tomorrow but lots of folks would be pissed because their toilet paper museum lost it's federal funding and they wouldn't be able to build that four lane highway into the middle of nowhere to service 200 residents of Jimstown, VA. So much corruption and pocket lining going on at the expense of the tax payer and future tax payers.
Let's start by reducing congress's pay and benefits.

A vote in the two party system is even more of a waste because all you are doing is feeding the machine.
The British parliamentary system would be a lot more fun, but instead of the individual voters making the choice, you have back room deals made to form coalition government.I don't hardly see how that could be considered a better system.

An effective third party would shake this up and scare these greedy old cronies that have most everybody snowed, it's a good place to start.

1992:
Slick 43%
HW 37%
H Ross 19%

Slick landslided the electoral college votes with 370 while only getting 43% of the popular vote. Ross took HW's votes primarily and got no electoral college votes. It was a good way to change the party in power, but did nothing to help a third party system. Don't think three or more parties works well in this system. You need parliamentary style IMO. Two or none seems to work best in ours. I wish it were none.

A lot of trades are struggling to find young people to apprentice and learn. I have a friend whose son is studying to be a machinist. It might be a pie in the sky estimate but his school told them he could make up to 70K when he graduates.
If he's willing to work 60-70 hours a week he will absolutely make 70k at least.

Sorry I missed this yesterday. I was at the gym.

It takes so long to get in a good workout these days. Those young people are disgusting. I have to sanitize everything, before and after I use it. Also takes a little longer trying to keep my khakis and button downs looking good while I work out, but ya gotta look good for the dames.

Anyway, what did you need me for?

Research question:

How many of you look at pornography?

Like if you look.

Comment for other.

I used to. It is not a healthy habit IMO and is not something that I partake of any more. I have three daughters and I want them to feel they are worth more than what pornography says they are worth. I will not judge anyone who chooses to look at it, because I did so myself. However, I have changed my opinion about its effect on our society and I don't see a whole lot of good that comes from it. For that reason, I stay away and try to guide my children to stay away as well.

I also think that there is probably a link between many cases of erectile dysfunction and over sexual stimulation through pornography. I have no evidence to back that up, just a gut feeling.
