The 2010 through 2012 teams had Bray, Da'Rick, Rivera, and J Hunter. We scored on anybody we wanted not named Alabama. We scored from any part of the field.

I'm sorry but those offenses were just vastly better at QB, OL, and WR than what we're getting ready to field in 2018. This offense is devoid of that but has some good pieces, unfortunately the offensive line will hold us back... a... lot.

I don't want to, but I think we win 7 games.

So you see the same problems I do, but you still figure 7? 🤤

We probably win 5 next year.

ETSU, UTEP, Charlotte

And then 2 of these 4: Missouri, UK, Vandy, SC

Best case we win 7-8 with an upset of Florida thrown in there. But realistically I'd set the overunder at 5.5 games

Not just our offensive line. Wide receivers and QBs aren't as good as that 5-7 team either. Oline is drastically worse.

I honestly don’t think we are going to need to score 35+ to win ball games this fall. I agree those teams had some offensive talent, but I think ours this fall will be serviceable. I’d take our RBs this fall over any of those teams. I’d take our defensive talent this fall over any of them too, especially if Pruitt finishes strong on signing day.

I don’t think we will have walk-ons all over the 2-deep the way we did in Butch’s first year. Or have Kentucky level speed all over our roster like we did in the Dooley years.

We are much much more talented then you guys think. Again, not on Georgia’s level but much more than 2010-2013.

Hope you are right but do not believe it to be so .This Fall will prove it one way or tuther....but my belief is if Pruitt wins 7 + games he is an absolute genius considering the material he inherited.

No I have not slept on any season since 1948 ....several seasons I was far removed from the action having spent 28 years in Army ...but never slept thru a season

Thank you for your great service of 28 years. WOW

Muschamp took over a 3-9 USC team and made a bowl his first year.

Franklin took over a 2-10(?) Vandy team and made a bowl his first year.

Pruitt takes over a 4-8 Vols team with tons more talent than USC abd Vandy, and will be lucky to win 6??

Makes no sense.

Did you guys watch the Florida game on the road last year? We should’ve won by 14 or more. Florida is not very good either. We are at home after two easy games to learn the O and D in real game situations. Plus fall camp will be more live reps than ever before. We beat Florida this year period.

Exactly what I was about to type.

No reason we don't get to 6-6 or 7-5.

We've seen more injuries than anyone the last 2 years. More live reps is the last thing we need

I think people want to set the bar low to avoid all the complaining and disappointment. I just don’t see it. I think we find a way to get 6 or more. There are only 3 games I see that I’d pencil in as almost certain losses (Bama, Auburn and Georgia). The rest are winnable.

Read the post because he did not say that. Even said we were not on Georgia level. The best players will play and that absolutely has not been happening here and this team was dysfunctional and it started with a dysfunctional staff.

That last phrase is definitely a TWSS

Florida is even or worse than us talent wise, dealing with the same issues we are about a new coach installing a new system, and we have them at home... but it’s an upset if we beat them lol.

Point is I am not a worshiper but I have higher expectations for Tennessee football an so does CJP.

I have the same expectations as you do going forward, but this year is going to be hard to see improvement...Hell I hope we win them all, but I know 6 wins is going to be a good job...THIS SEASON.

It’s exactly what we need IF guys do the work in the offseason and Pruitt will do it. Plus we will not have OL playing to the tune of dancing queen as much.

He 100% said he'd take our defensive talent over anyone. He said our team in general isn't as talented as Georgia but he will take our defense over anyone
