I am not a Trump fan but this is the kind of nonsense that Hillary will push for nationwide!
Cow farts can now be regulated in California | Fox News

He really compared himself to Noah! Liberals believe that the more miserable they are the better person they are. They are enlightened and must drag us capitalists along with them. Just leave us alone!

To be fair, this is an issue that goes back years. I used to think it was ridiculous myself.

But recently I've read some of the freakonomics books and learned some things I didn't realize before. Turns out, the methane released from cows is actually more harmful to the environment than the greenhouse gases released from cars (mainly becaue methane is a more harmful greenhouse cas than the carbon dioxide released from cars and the like). And there were never meant to be so many cows on earth to begin with. There are about as many cows in the world as there are people in China.

But climate scientists don't like to mention the beef industry and would rather go after the oil industry because they're easier to paint as the boogeyman than mega-farms. Plus, steak is friggin delicious.

I'm pretty apathetic about climate change, really. I'd rather have nice things affordably than worry about the people I'll never have a chance to meet (hundreds, if not thousands, of years from now) who will see its effects.

But if you're one of those people who is serious about trying to stop the inevitable and/or slow down climate change, it actually makes sense to try and incentivize a downsizing of the beef industry.

You realize climate change causes rising sea levels? Rising sea levels causes Florida to disappear?

1. I always thought Disney World was overrated anyway.

2. I'll be long gone by the time that happens.

I want to have things like gas, electricity, and delicious meats at cheap prices while I'm here.

There is going to be violence after the election due to the results. You can take that to the bank!

lol really going out on a limb there.

If anybody wants to make bets, I'll give you 1:1 odds on violence happening somewhere regardless of the outcome

Yeah..but The Arctic will be a lot more livable. Climate change could be a good thing too. A massive amount of land would be more conducive to growing crops, and becoming more hospitable to humans..I don't really buy it, but silver lining and all..

This. And it wouldn't come from the section of the populace that the libs would have everyone believe. Libs get violent about their hate for Trump. They assault Trump supporters, vandalize property belonging to people that support Trump, etc. All the while they proclaim that they are tolerant. Not saying this is all libs but I haven't heard of any conservatives doing stuff like this. FTR, I am used to being disappointed with the political candidates that we are force fed. Both current candidates are poor choices. Mad Dog Mattis 2020!

I think you underestimate the people fed up with the status quo. Shiz is going down soon after Hillary is elected

Thats a fact. I've seen it first hand.

We just disagree about the scale, I think.

I'm sure there will be some crazies on the fringe who go nuts and do something stupid (especially since Trump has been harping about how it's all rigged against him pretty much since he won the primary).

But the overwhelmingly vast majority of people will go on about their business. And I'm sure if anything serious does happen, Trump will realize it's in his and everyone's best interest to denounce any violence done in his name.

I'll be in the small minority eating popcorn and enjoying the meltdown that will come from both sides. Same as I've done for the last 3 elections.

I would like to know if there's actually ruins of an ancient civilization in Antarctica.

As for post election violence, if anything I think that will come down the road when disaffected people who support HC (I'm mainly thinking of BLM, illegal aliens, and underemployed millennials) realize that there will not be any freebies forthcoming. What we may see is that the most conservative states begin to simply pass on more and more federal funding in order to avoid the mandates that accompany the acceptance of those funds, which will lead to people who depend on the programs supported by that funding migrating to already cash strapped/bankrupt states.

Reading the news is like reading Atlas Shrugged. I have said it over and over again and will continue to do so. The liberals and their progressive ideas will do everything they can to destroy our capitalist economy. The Constitution and our capitalist economy give them the freedom to do the things they are doing but the things they are doing will eventually destroy the Constitution and the capitalist economy. It is like an animal eating itself. Eventually there will be nothing left to eat if we continue down their path.

I seem to remember people saying a lot of the same when Obama was elected and nothing happened people just kept on keepin on. Politics and especially the presidential role is vastly overrated in the impact it has on the typical American. That is until people stop being led like sheep to vote in a two party system.
