Everybody's all worried about Saul vs Jesus when obviously the most important thing is what the Council of Nicea (AD 325) thought on the issue.

You stop that , I mean the next thing will be the bible was not written by god and such .

Just saying, a lot of Protestants don't realize (or don't want to realize) that the reason they read the bible they read is because a bunch of Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Bishops met and decided which books of scripture they liked and and which ones needed to be used for kindling moving forward.

After seeing the tone and attitude of your posts, I probably shouldn't even respond, but I would like to kindly and sincerely ask what is the point of this post?

Jesus does warn against praying/fasting/practicing righteousness to be seen of men. But he never teaches to not talk about Him or His Word in private. On the contrary He commands His followers to teach others.

And saying someone is doing something to be seen is judging their heart/intentions. Jesus knew others' hearts. We can't.

But what if "the closet" is the name of my favorite gentlemen's club? Is it ok to pray in front of Charity and Chastity?

Where is the authority in the scriptures to make such a direct statement that God accepts baptism by sprinkling? By sand? I just want to see some scriptural justification, because I don't want to continue believing something that's wrong, if I'm missing something pertaining to this.

You admitted that there is no doubt all the baptisms that are recorded in the NT were via immersion. If so, where did God tell us and give us the authority to change the practice of baptism by immersion to something different? God tells us in Proverbs 14:12 and 16:25, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death." Look at all of the laws He instituted for worship and sacrifice in the OT...it is very easy to say that all of those sacrifices and the way to perform them could have become ritualistic. It's exactly why He struck Nadab and Abihu dead during their consecration period, because they went outside the laws that He gave of how to perform the sacrifices. They offered unauthorized fire, and God set the tone immediately to Israel and let them know that they had better not go outside of what He had commanded them to do.

Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:5 that he must be born again of the water and Spirit. God tells us in Revelation 22:18-19 to not add nor take away from His word. By saying you can be baptized via sand, are you not adding to God's word? The Ethiopian eunuch and Phillip were traveling through the desert when the eunuch wanted to be baptized...they found water. I honestly believe that's one of the reasons God made this earth to be composed of 75% water...so that whenever someone wants to be baptized, they can find a body of water that is just big enough to immerse him/her.

Show me one reference in the bible that it says it HAS to be by immersion. There are thousands of examples of acts by Jesus that we don't practice. Some churches believe in sake handling because of a bible verse or two. Do you handle snakes? Just because you interpret the bible one way doesn't make someone else wrong. According to you the Baptist will be the only ones in heaven because of your interpretation. All us heathen methodist are bound to hell for eternity. Millions will never make it to heaven. Please pray for us OG so maybe we can reach the same level of spiritualness as you baptist.

Enjoy that trip and make a lifetime memory.

Had a great time. Rory hit a hole-in-one on 16. He's striking the ball better than anyone IMO. My son got Jordan Speith's autograph along with Westood's and a new one of his favorites Bill Haase (classy young man). He was in awe.
