Interesting that some call it a double and some call it a full. Both work though. I guess it's what you are used to hearing when you're growing up.

I can understand the half windsor for a bigger guy. The full does use a few extra inches of tie.

That straight edge across the top of the tie with a full windsor......sets a man apart IMO.

I struggle with my tie hitting the top of my belt line with a half Windsor. Full Windsor is impossible for me. 6'2" with 18 1/2" neck. Any suggestions? Seriously.

Big and Tall store. Buy a longer tie. While you're not super tall (although tall), you do have a bigger than normal neck, meaning you need more tie.

Same problem as I. I'm a tick taller. When i get mine to the belt line i hsve about a 6" tail. I think you buy longer ties. Next time I buy I'm going that route.

You could try a Shelby/Pratt knot. It's easy to tie, and I think it looks almost as good as a full windsor.
