It's unfortunate our defense was so bad last year that QD couldn't get more snaps when the offense was putting up numbers. I'd like to have seen more of him.

That's why you hang 40 on teams like Ohio instead of going vanilla.

He was before my time, but my dad was telling me that Dillons dad was a late bloomer here. Maybe like father like son?

I could not have been more confident that Dillon was going at least be a good and important player on our defense. He was also one of if not the first guy from the 2014 class that got on the field. I wonder if it's mental or injuries or something else? His high school highlights were pretty filthy.

Bill Bates was pretty instant impact. Four year starter. Was a leader on the team by his sophomore year.

It's an awful sport to watch. Just awful.

I think Crowder played because of the comfort level that both QBs and coaches had in him snapping the ball in the shotgun. A centers first job is to get the ball to the QB.

Just reading between the lines when people ask guys like Hubbs and other media people who are around the program. It always sounds like they are trying to find a nice way to say "don't hold your breath" in regards to bates being a factor.

Anybody think Dillon Bates will emerge from the shadows this season?

I don't know but I'm glad he isn't on the non-participant list for spring practice. Hope he can have a healthy offseason.

Mercedes Russell looks like she is running in quicksand. So painful to watch them at times. So much standing around looking at the person with the ball on O. When they are focused and running they look good. But it only happens for half of each game.

Some kids just have bad luck and went it hits it keeps em down. The kid has talent and comes from a great family. Known several guys through the years that had loads of potential and kept fighting the injury bug to the extent it gets in their heads or they get recruited over and never rebound. Happens all the time.
