The crowd never felt totally out of it. They got quieter as the deficit mounted, but you could see the team trying. The fans were just waiting for them to break through. A few faltered at the half, not wanting to feel the sting again. The third quarter started much the same as the first half. When Hurd caught that first TD, we knew we had a ballgame. It wasn't a fluke. The fluke was not scoring earlier. The crowd got hungry.

When that second TD went to Wolf, it was on! And it was great redemption for Wolf and those first half drops. They were in the thick of it. Belief was fully revived. The crowd was frothing.

I truly feel like the game was won on the Jennings strike. It was over. Florida hung its head like too many Tennessee teams in the not-too-distant past. We knew that look. It was a dog with its tail between its legs. The blood was in the water.

When Malone housed the quick hit, the feeding frenzy was in full bloom. The sea went red and the hunted went belly up.

Even after Florida responded, surprisingly the worry was minimal. This wasn't "those" teams. This was a new force--not to be denied. The crowd knew it. The team knew it. More importantly, the opponent knew it.

Let's get us some Georgia!

Absolutely agree with bold. Even though it was only a 23-21 point lead at that point I turned to the wife and and random guy next to me (who we shared many high fives with in the second half) told them the same thing. You could stick a fork in them. They were done.

SEC west is brutal, and Miles won the majority of his games. (Not to mention all he did for that community)

There are much better more stable jobs.

Miles has been there for a decade. I think they were loyal to him. He won a lot by luck. He wasn't ever a great coach IMO. And LSU hasn't even been the number 2 in the West in the last few years.

Just watched a few highlights. I noticed it early in the season, too, but the bend that Barnett gets when moving around the LT toward the QB is incredible.

No joke. He's incredibly agile for a D-lineman. He is quick and strong. He's fun to watch for sure. I hope he earns a big salary next year.

Buchanan bit on the same move. We were playing off coverage but they were in man by themselves. Second one wasn't bad he got beat but that ball barely got in there. Versus Virginia Tech he played good. His PIs were on a 6'7 245lb dude who was pushing off. Had Martin gotten his head around here would've easily had a pick the first time. The second time should've been a no call. But we've played 4 games and he's been beat 4 times with only two being catches. I mean I could give you Marsalis Teague so you would know what a liability really looks like in coverage.

Buchanan is a true freshman playing in his fourth game. Martin is in his third year of college football.
I'm not against him at all he's just not playing up to par this year. I hope he turns it around.
I never thought Martin wouldn't be the starter opposite Cam. Now he's not even starting with Cam out.

Dobbs is wanting to talk to you. 😄

LOL you keep calling me out like I've been calling for him to be benched nonstop. He has accuracy issues, always has and still does. That's all I've ever said about him, other than coaches need to run him more. You fixate on the weirdest things with me, like the one time I mentioned I liked Heath because he is a distant, DISTANT relative, and you spent a year hounding me about how I was in love with him.

Hey guys. I don't get on the recruiting forum much, so maybe I overlooked it. Has there been any mention of Jordan Mason from Gallatin on here? As of last week, he had close to 1400 yards through 6 games (averaging 230 ypg I believe). The kid definitely has SEC size for a rb too (6'0", 205lbs). He only has 4 offers, and I can't figure out why.

Does he camp? And how fast is he?

A lot goes into getting offers. Most kids have to camp early then show on the field during the fall. Obviously he's a productive back.

What year

Martin is in his second year of SEC ball. Was a high school RB....

Also learning the position from a Pro Bowl caliber CB kinda helps too. 😎

Croom drop - no points

AK drop (announcers said no one between him and goal line) - INT after that I believe.

Hurd stopped 6 inches from the goal line on last play.

Could have hung 59 on that vaunted Gator D

Where were his accuracy issues Saturday? He's getting consistent WRs and decent line play. He would've thrown for 400 with those drops he had. Should've accounted for 6 TDs. Wrap your head around that. He's better than Heath ever was. Stop the madness...... You're a hater and won't eat your crow I see.

He threw the ball pretty well on Saturday. The first INT was a result of uncalled PI but probably shouldn't have been thrown. The second INT he was hit as he threw the ball. There was one or two others but I think most other misses were throw aways. The big problem in Saturday's game was dropped balls. Most of his throws could've and should've been caught. That being said it was one game. If he can string together several in a row like that one ND people will need to change their tunes on his accuracy IMO.

Cool story bro moment:

(Keeping in mind that I live in Louisville, Ky) I was walking the dog a little while ago (with my TN hat on of course) and this guy rolls past me on his bike. A little while later he comes back the other way and slows down.

"Boy, ol' Tennessee sure whooped Florida this weekend, didn't they?" He says.

Awesome remark from a random stranger.

Also, think about the specifics of that, when was the last time that Tennessee legitimately "whooped" Florida? Not "squeaked by with a win" or "won at the last second", but a sound thumping.

Been a while.

Feels good.

Also nice to see casual sports fans notice something like that too.

Won't agree with the "better", but will with the "stable". It's a top 5 job with all the allure of recruiting base, fan support and financial backing. Alleva was an AD superstar at one point, equal to Jeremy Foley by most. It only takes a little teetering from the big southern dummy boosters to put one on defense...and that seems to be what we're looking at.
