Goodnight Butches. When we wake it will only be seven days until VT's butt whopping!

Yeah..if your building a spaceship..football instincts are different.

This. People conflate sports smarts and book smarts too often. He can be both and might be, but people assume he must be football genius because he's an engineer. The fact that they don't let a senior QB change calls means he's not football smart or they're extreme control freaks.

Control freaks

Check out which leg the guy grabs and which leg the trainer is rolling out.

Am I the only one that sits next to HE'S WIDE OPEN! Guy in Neyland? Guy that believes he has God-level field vision?

It goes along with the discussion on the Legion of the Miserable earlier.

There are a couple guys around us constantly screaming about wide open receivers. The problem is that almost every time the guy they're watching is "open", its because the play is already occurring on the opposite side.

Happend at least 4 times last night. Dobbs throws ball, DBs drift in that direction away from non-targeted receivers, doofus yells "AWWW YOU MISSED HIM AGAIN, DOBBS. GET OUTTA THERE!" Drives me insane. Moaning about missing a WR... without even realizing that the ball was already in the air.

I said it after the bowl game, and despite the game we just watched, I'm sticking to it. We're going 10-2 and will be going to Atlanta.

I agree with the others, wth was bynam doing out there. Would rather see Cortez, sapp, or de from VA (can't think of his name) in that spot

I honestly feel that our fans seem so negative some times and trash the coaches, players, play calling etc, because we have wanted to be great again for so long. Anything that seems to possibly hamper that return to greatness sets off all the negativism and booing etc. That's usually what causes me to do it...I want us to be elite again and playing for championships. I want that feeling again of the late 90s/early 2000s, when I knew we were putting a great team on the field and would be battling Florida to make it to the SEC championship game and be in the Conversation to go the NC game. We all just want it SO BAD! That's why we eat our own.

If Dobbs were worth his salt he could make the ball change direction mid flight and hit the now wide open receiver. Jeez. I mean... he is WIDE OPEN!!

Doc from Miami was making fun of UT tonight until I informed him that his beloved Canes are playing App St in 2 weeks.

He got all defensive and said they will kill that team. We now have a little wager on the game because I believe Miami will lose that one.

Typical Miami fan. Talks all kinds of $#!+ about other teams and yet doesn't even know who is on their schedule.

Haven't you heard buddy. Their not negative. They..... are realists. Mmm hmm. That's what I said. Realists. It means they know everything that goes on behind the closed doors of our football program and thus know exactly the direction and decisions that are best for said football program. We are just happy go lucky sunshine pumper a with the orange tinted wool pulled over our eyes. If we could only see what they see we would understand why they appear negative.

Anywho. I don't suppose we could get one of them countdown gifs for next weeks games? I am very excited to see the product that our team puts out after they make the corrections from Thursday! Hope you are well buddy! We can't let the orange tint in our glasses throw off our depth perception. :eek:lol:

That's a good description for about 25% of those doing the eating.
Unfortunately, the truth is, we have an abnormally high number of pure azz munchers.
Even when things are looking great, large number of fans searching for something to trash staff or players for. That rules them out for reacting out of desperation.
Plus, it's still a game. A fan only has 1 job, support the team.
Nothing wrong with a little honest discussion by any means but I get somewhat disgusted watching some posters kneel before our Fla guests.
Freak needs to have a donation box.
If we don't get several of our posters kneepads for gator encounters, they will need wheelchairs soon.

The TN fanbase is no different than any other fanbase. They all have their fair share of whatever you want to call them. Bama fans criticize their team and coaches all the time, even when they win, some complain about how they win or how they look. It's the same everywhere.
