Yeah..if your building a spaceship..football instincts are different.
Am I the only one that sits next to HE'S WIDE OPEN! Guy in Neyland? Guy that believes he has God-level field vision?
It goes along with the discussion on the Legion of the Miserable earlier.
There are a couple guys around us constantly screaming about wide open receivers. The problem is that almost every time the guy they're watching is "open", its because the play is already occurring on the opposite side.
Happend at least 4 times last night. Dobbs throws ball, DBs drift in that direction away from non-targeted receivers, doofus yells "AWWW YOU MISSED HIM AGAIN, DOBBS. GET OUTTA THERE!" Drives me insane. Moaning about missing a WR... without even realizing that the ball was already in the air.
I honestly feel that our fans seem so negative some times and trash the coaches, players, play calling etc, because we have wanted to be great again for so long. Anything that seems to possibly hamper that return to greatness sets off all the negativism and booing etc. That's usually what causes me to do it...I want us to be elite again and playing for championships. I want that feeling again of the late 90s/early 2000s, when I knew we were putting a great team on the field and would be battling Florida to make it to the SEC championship game and be in the Conversation to go the NC game. We all just want it SO BAD! That's why we eat our own.
Doc from Miami was making fun of UT tonight until I informed him that his beloved Canes are playing App St in 2 weeks.
He got all defensive and said they will kill that team. We now have a little wager on the game because I believe Miami will lose that one.
Typical Miami fan. Talks all kinds of $#!+ about other teams and yet doesn't even know who is on their schedule.
