Oh, I see.
The problem I had was that it was so obviously misinterpreted. It wasn't intended as a sign of disrespect (the way Vandy says "the team to the East" or Mississippi Stare says "the school up north"), it was intended to keep our team from pissing their pants and beating themselves just because they were playing ALABAMA.
Jones shouldn't have said it, but not because it was disrespectful. He shouldn't have said it because interpreting it correctly would have required a modicum of reading comprehension and just a moment of intelligent thought, both of which are far too much to expect from Alabamans.
I disagree with this.
I think Bama fans still bring it up because it puts us in our place, and rubs this in our face. We are still the team that sees bama as some impossible task. It's embarrassing that this method was used.
As a college athlete, if our rival school referred to us as the Orange team, id bring that up for years. "Remember how terrified of us they were?? They couldn't even say our schools name". It would be a constant running joke.
More to it, Crouch Potatoe...
@Vol_Football: AZZANNI: I think this is a great group of run blocking receivers. They take a lot of pride in that. https://t.co/SFF32xBPsv

If true, perhaps Dormady wants to transfer someplace that will throw the ball 50-60 times per game and he realizes that will never be the case under CBJ.
I am Very pleased with Debord
The only time I'm been unhappy with him was the 2nd halves of Oklahoma and Arkansas. He let his foot off the gas way too early against OU and the gameplan against the Hogs was pretty bad. No issues other than that. I thought the offensive gameplans looked fantastic against Florida, Georgia and Alabama jmo
I can agree with that for sure although I was much more upset against Arkansas. He got away from the run way too much that game IMO but overall I think he's done a very solid job
The thing I like most about Debo is that when he finds a weakness on the opposing team, he will continue exploiting it until the opposing team makes changes. Well...except for the Arkansas game.
In his defense I think Hurd had 3 catches for like 70 yds. And it seems like we only had the ball 4 or 5 times the whole second half. I'm sure it was more but not much.Yeah I think Hurd only had like 4 or 5 carries in the second half after gashing them in the first half. It's like he was trying to make a point by throwing so much I dunno.
Besides that, he does a good job of mixing up the play calls to keep the D reeling for the most part. That was Bajakians biggest weakness IMO. Drives would stall all the time when we had momentum because of trying to get too cute with bizarre play calls.

He must not like the staff based on those comments. Haven't see post before of him saying stuff like that in the past but maybe I've missed them.
You know how kids are, maybe he's just venting. When the Hunter Johnson committed remember JG had a little freakout as well. I'm sure he wonders what might happen when JG comes in, "the new kid". He may of made a comment something along these lines, "If after the spring if I'm not the clear number two guy behind Dobbs, I may just transfer out. I'm sure TCU would love to have me".

Debord actually tried to exploit Arkansas' weakness, too, but we couldn't execute. I had a text exchange with a friend, who said Arkansas had a good front 4. Their secondary is not good. I agree that you have to run Hurd more than 4 times, but PW fumbled inside the 10, Medley missed a short FG, and our passing game was off. He actually was trying to do the correct thing, but I don't think we attacked enough down the middle either. JMO.
