You're playing with the numbers.
UF and Mizzou were only top 50 Defense Pig faced where he produced(50+ yards) SC was ranked 97 so if you list SC then Robinson 79 vs FSU is worth nothing( they have 3DB projected in top 100 NFL picks)..furthermore KY D was ranked higher than SC in total D and passing D..ranked higher than Mizzou in passing D.

He also had Driskel throwing him passing for the first 7 games. That alone is the tie breaker. Lol

Nah... :)

Nah, I stuck SC in parentheses because their D sucked. Florida and Mizzou were the good defenses that Pig produced against.

I don't care what the numbers say about UK. Tennessee could have called the score against that team. That was not a good defense.

Regarding QB play, I'm going to let that point drop - trying to argue that our QB was as bad as UF's just tastes rancid on a couple of levels.

Anyway, I stand by what I said. Robinson is a solid WR. He does not stand out above our top guys when all are healthy... Nor do our top guys stand out above him.

Again I never said UT didnt haven't more talent at WR. Said I would take DRob vs Vols WR1. Really outside of Pig the unit has been inconsistent and only flashed at best for all the stars and hype of the group.

Tennessee has three receivers that when healthy are better than Robinson. Our three have to share targets also. Howard, Pearson and North.

I would take Robinson over any Vols receiver we had last year.

I would also take our 2-6th wide receiver over their #2 receiver

The problem is, we had almost every receiver banged up the entire year. When healthy, they were only serviceable

HG what are your thoughts on V Showers? Thought he looked good last year when given opportunities... If he can progress, then y'all should have a solid 3 with D-Rob, Showers, and Powell

Pearson was great when fully healthy. He didn't really round back into form until the UK game. Still can't understand why he disappeared against Vandy, though. Our WRs played awful in that game. Hell, one of the longest passes of the day was caught by Lane.

I like what Showers and Powell bring to the system. Mac said they'll both play a "Dee Hart" role. Splitting time a both Slot and RB.

Issues with both are injuries. Showers: hamstring and shoulder.

Powell: foot.

Both limited this spring.

Fulwood and Chris Thompson have been getting good reviews so far.

We're going to rely on McGee and Lewis at TE imo.

DRob
Powell
McGee
Showers
Lewis
Fulwood

Would be my guesses for top pass catchers.

Would you say the main concern is the OL and QB play?

Or is just getting everything on the same page and it just needs time to gel.

I guess my questions is if the team GETS the system are the pieces in place to be a really good offense or is it a combination of needing more talent and getting the system to click? IYO

OL is thin and green but talent is there.
