Some of the things interpreted as "freaking out" were legitimate questions being asked. There was far less "freaking out" going on by those asking questions than there were those screaming "just trust Butch!" It's not a matter of trust. In case people have forgotten, it's okay to ask questions.

So saying something like "if they hire debord i am going to blow a gasket", does that qualify? There are a bunch of posts along that line.

agreed. and it doesnt hurt that he seems to be an OL expert. thats something we could use for sure.

another thing i didnt add was that article talks about the possibility he could be named co-OC run game. I'm not sure what I think of that idea but if its to keep coach z, presumably because he'd become co-OC passing, then I'm for it. bang up job as recruiting coordinator and has done well with our WR corp. created depth out of thin air. dont want him to get snapped up by another school.

havent really looked through about what people guess happened with bajakian but im curious if anyone has a recap.

No, just because someone says they'll be upset that UT would hire a coach that in their mind was underwhelming does not rise to the level of freaking out. But, that's just my humble opinion.

I remember Easy saying that. He also said he was drunk. That doesn't qualify as "freaking out" when you're drunk, that's just normal behavior.

read this article just now and seems like he was actually a good OC. they compare his offense to urban meyer's, which i think works well in the SEC.

i do disagree, however, that our offensive scheme doesnt need any revision. it seems like this coach would actually have a positive impact on our offense. IMO we need more Urban Meyer and less Brian Kelly. fits the personnel we have as well. work-horse running back in Jalen Hurd, pro style QB with legs in Dobbs, good blocking TE Ethan Wolf and some efficient receivers.

basically i see this as a positive thing, unlike most every thing i read about this possible hire.

Agreed. I am not freaking out no matter who they hire or what happens. The response to a rumor that debord was hired was off the rails imo. Also, I don't have a problem with people questioning or stating their opinions. Some drive their opinion into the ground though. Leb is the worst, but far from the only.

Does anything any of us say, drunk or sober, really matter? Do the posts on VN really alter your life in anyway? If they do, we might need to hold an intervention.
