As much as I like the pass catching TE in this offense, I'm in favor of the bigger blocking TE like Wolf for now. OL needs all the help it can get. Clark at 250-255 vs Oliver at maybe 210-220 would make a difference.

Oliver may turn out to be great but he hasn't played the position he's being recruited for.

Jim McElwain may be a good coach for UF, but good lord that's an underwhelming hire for that program.

I agree he could end up being a good coach. I'm just looking at it from the financial standpoint and IMO what they got for their dollar.

Figure a 5 year deal at 3-3.25 for the HC. Maybe another 4 million for the staff. You're in for 36 million or so for the 5 years plus the 14 million in buyouts. 50 million dollars. Now if I did not have to pay the 7.5 buyout to CSU and could add that to what I am already spending....I'm in the market for a coaching staff at a price tag of around 11-12 million dollars a year.

Something to consider, I think you could technically pay Alabama's coaching staffs salaries plus have a million or so left over.

gotta wonder who michigan is going to end up with. would be crazy if they got dan mullen or kevin sumlin. but i think they'll end up with someone at a non power 5 conference.

I agree with this too.

All this for a coach who is 22-16

Going 10-2 in your third year at CSU is pretty legendary. Plus he was the OC at Bama for a while. Having family that are CSU fans, I can say he's the real deal. If Florida gets him, we should take notice.

After diligently researching for the past couple of days to get to the bottom of the conspiracy to shut down UAB's football program I've learned that, 1) Many of the most influential UA supporters are afraid that UAB might be on the same path as some of the up and coming Florida schools so they want them stopped now. 2) UAB's medical school which could harm certain practices in the normal UA society. 3) UAB's policy against their students and alumni marrying immediate family members (a practice which UA strongly supports). This was "the straw that broke the camels back" and doomed the football program at UAB and could shut down their medical school. Some UA supporters have even threatened to poison all the trees in Birmingham. TIFWIW

Truly pathetic. But I expect nothing less from Bama

There are no trees in Birmingham. Just trash and paper mills. (That's for my boy RichRollin)
