Honestly at this point we just looked panicked. I say give Hoke a 1 or 2 year deal. Let him hire a real OC and DC and ride this out, Create an actual plan, not just fly around in planes asking any one if they will come here. Hopefully, but then Haslam will be out or in white collar jail.

If you sign a coach to a 1 or 2 year deal, you might as well not even have a recruiting budget.

It would be crazy to crawl back to Kiffin. If we consider going with someone with baggage, hire Petrino. UT has baggage, too. The sports world doesn't like or respect Petrino. Guess what? They don't like or respect UT, either.

If anybody still thinks we're too good for that, hire Miles on a conditional contract or give Fulmer a year and see what he can do. It's going to take experience to pull this program out of the ditch and not many experienced coaches seem eager to come here right now.

I am no fan of Kevin Steele but to hold a record from 20 years ago while at Baylor, when Baylor was a doormat, is ridiculous in my opinion.

WE are a doormat.

But hey, the dude is really good at going winless in conference. In fact, he won one conference game in 4 years. Sounds like the right guy for us given the way we've been trending.

Petrino would be a coup a this point.

Kiffin wouldn't want the job. He just wants a shot to publicly humiliate Tennessee by saying no. I don't understand why other people don't see this.

Broken record, Les Miles comes in 2nd best coach in East behind Mullen.

For the shape we are in that’s not bad.

In my eyes this was no doubt a big F U from Haslam and Currie for sinking the Schiano hire.

They went from Schiano straight to Mike Gundy. Coincidentally, a guy that TN tried to hire before and used TN to get a raise. They put that big money number out publically to give the appearance we are all in now. They knew he would turn it down and then they could say we tried. See, your way isnt any better than ours.

If they really wanted to throw 7 mil at Gundy and try to get him here, why didnt they start there?

Guys, Im afraid this MFer wont have a chance of being anything until there is nothing left but smoldering pile of rubble. The boosters and fans have called the Haslams bluff and now they are returning the favor.

Miles is the only thing that makes sense. Give him a contract with a declining buyout. Let him stabilize things similar to what Barnes has done with basketball. Probablyyou could get him on the cheap. Give him $5-$6 mil for coordinators. Let him go to work. He still has brand recognition which will help him recruit. Probably can get a kid or two out of LA every year due to his contacts. Bring in the guy that's at LSU that has ties to middle TN. It will work. He has no buyout. Your probably going to be doing this in 4 years again anyway.

Hubbs says his sources say we did not interview Morris today. Feldman says we aren’t tomorrow.

My list right now:

Tier 1:
Chad Morris (if he brings Marion Hobby)
Les Miles
Tee Martin

Tier 2:
Will Healy
Mike Houston

Tier 3:
Pruitt (puke)
Doeren (PUKE)

Tier 4:
Swaggerfield (just wanted to include him)

Tier Never:
Kevin Steele

Anything below tier two and I will literally just check score updates to see if we won.

It should be returned back by not showing up. Attack their wallets and watch what happens.

It'll be Kevin Steele, tomorrow. The fans won't revolt either. We'll all just be defeated.

I'm afraid you are right. They are going to rush this hire and try to get it done quick to save the recruiting class. Literally the same mistake they made in 2010. Except no one wants to play for 60 year old Kevin Steele with his 9-36 W/L record and 1-31 conference record.

We learned nothing, and we are going to hire a guy who is probably going to post a worse W/L record than Dooley did.

Petrino would be a coup a this point.

Half the media's already suggested him for us. We've been called despicable, disgraceful, immoral, evil and cyber-terrorists-- and that's just what I heard on TV this afternoon. So it's not like hiring a coach who was fired for having a verboten affair with a subordinate would trash our sterling reputation.
