The guy that runs the Browns runs UT sports, that scares the hell out of me. All these years I knew boosters ran things, but didn’t realize the Haslam iron grip on things

Not the best Vol team, and not the most talented, but that team is the most perfect example of what being a Tennessee Volunteer is supposed to about in UT history. I love that team the most and always will. Even more than the 98 team. I am sorry you young guys will never know what that feels like, and I'm sorry us old guys have had to watch it destroyed.

I’m not surprised about the Currie/K State stuff. My father-in-law (an alum) and followers of that program were thrilled for Currie to get out of town. He ran off Frank Martin over a player eligibility issue—Martin essentially told him to take this job and shove it and took what was (at the time) a lateral move to South Carolina. He clashed with Snyder but you ain’t gonna win against the man that’s name is on the stadium. My hope was Currie would have learned his lesson—-that’s obviously a fail.

Sumlin would be the most universally accepted hire by UT fans since Fulmer, imo. Even more accepted than Kiffin (there was still a huge Fulmer camp at that time), and more universally accepted than Dooley and Butch combined.

I refuse to get excited or pissed off until I see someone standing at the podium. While I would love Sumlin, Les, Tee or anyone else that brings hope back to the program.

One thing is still holding true:

Would be shocked if Sumlin wants to jump back into the grind. Especially the SEC. Especially here. I want it but guys...

My skepticism level is at an all time high. It sucks but I’m expecting Sumlin to tell Currie no because of his friendship with Butch. Plus, the TAMU lunatic fringe fans sending his family hate mail towards the end of his tenure.

We desperately need to hold on to this DL class and get Cade back for the OL. I think Sumlin does both of these things. And if he were to bring Tee here👀👀👀

Sumlin, Miles, Tee, Kiffin, Satterfield, Morris, Taggert. any of those guys are better than Schiano and Doeren.

The real debate, is which is worse between Doeren and Schiano.
