Sumlin is better than Miles at this point. It's not 2011 anymore.

But given that my great aunt Helen from Kalamazoo could have ran a better search, I'd gladly take Les Miles now.

Something was off with Sumlin and A&M. Not so sure he was ever the right for there, may not be here either.
And maybe he knows what a control freak Hones was too if they are that close, and understands why he failed here.

They lowball Sumlin, and he says no.

Same age. Both has beens past their primes. Both out of work and couldn't get a job after being fired by the school where they won a national title.

It's a fair comparison, but I'd take Miles. We've already got Fulmer.

Besides hiring the Mad Hatter might finally break that Louisiana Voodoo curse that's been following this program for almost 20 years.

It sounds like the experience at A & M in the end got messy—-i would have called Sumlin before Doeren and probably Brohm. I fear the idiots in the administration may have torpedoed Sumlin because of the disaster this search has become.

Remember though, you’re comparing Butch/Dobbs to Sumlin with no Manziel.

When Butch had Dobbs and Sumlin had Manziel, Butch was a 9-4 guy and Sumlin was 11-2 in the West.

Butch without a QB was 4-8 and Sumlin has never been worse than 7-5.

Excellent post and take. Deserves to be quoted again.

Poster on TOS about Currie from Kstate.

-No one who was around K State when Currie was there is at all surprised at how this is gone. Has been a joke around the program all week.
-Currie had a relationship problem with nearly every head coach in the AD, from swimming to women's basketball, to football, and was on much thinner ice for the last three years than people outside the KState bubble realize. Was a relief boosters when he was gone.
-Raised money. Improved facilities, but his relationship with Snyder was so bad he knew he needed to get out.
-Not at all surprised that Currie, given his inability to relate to people and to see the big picture in regard to things like Snyder's value to K-State, can close a deal and do the networking it takes to do a search on his own.
