Same man. I can barely even remember ever cheering for a good Tennessee team.

Not sure why I do this to myself

I know why I do, I love this program and will be here through thick and thin but this leadership is making it so damn hard to be positive. :banghead2:

You're directing your anger at the wrong people. If you were under-qualified for one of the best jobs in your career field, for a sinful amount of money, would you accept it?

This is on our administration. Period. Direct your anger at them. They have, for far too long, gotten a pass from fans.

Definitely not going to be mad at him for taking the job. I hope he succeeds.

There are so many other ways to spend one's time and money. Just because UTAD doesn't make smart choices doesn't mean fans can't.

Of course it’s cherry picking. It doesn’t guarantee he will be successful here. It just shows that some of the best coaches have had similar resumes early in their careers.

The bottom line is that it’s not that hard to win 8+ games/year at Tennessee. Doeren could definitely do that, at least. That’s a whole heck of a lot better than anything we’ve seen in over a decade. But Doeren will struggle to do that if this fanbase is constantly stirring the pot on social media and creating this narrative about how bad of a coach he is. Please don’t do that.

But the guy is a bad coach. His record speaks for itself. And plus, he was just on record celebrating an injury to a player from another team. Who does that? Who wants that as a coach? Accepting something that will be worse than Butch Jones is idiotic.

Don't get sucked in if Cade Mays recommits either. Kid should naturally be a Vol, will probably go to Clemson though.

He will struggle to win 8+ in the SEC because he's not a good coach. Fans have nothing to do with it.

He could easily do what he’s done at NC State at Tennessee. His division in the ACC has been a lot better than the SEC East lately.

Actually its not easy at all to wn 8+ games here when all the other schools in your division have better coaches.

Well, my boss will be happy about the hire. He's gonna get more production outta me in the next 3 years than he ever thought possible.

Sad day, LWS is basically pulling the plug, saying he is done with UT football. He will only pay attention to the 12 games each year, but the rest of his time he will devote elsewhere.

I feel sick.

Please stay where they love you, coach. Don't come here.

Maybe he will, but probably not. People have to stay away because when he fails in 3 years they will trot out a similar coach and they wont care because people are still paying for tickets.

Really starting to think I'll never experience that level of success until Haslam is overthrown.

The night of the 85 sugar bowl was the most glorious ass whooping we’ve ever delivered. Watch it sometime. Read about that season
