I saw Price speaking directly to Currie on the sideline tonight. Does not make me think this information is anymore true. Makes me think more that VQ is in fact AD driven and only reports what the school tells them too. No way any normal reporter just gets to walk up to the AD in the middle of a game and chit chat.

No one tells VQ what to do!!! Well.... except Hubb’s wife

I don't know if he's a troll or not. He's a troll because Gruden wasn't hired the last time? It's been proven over the last five years that the negotiations with Gruden went pretty far despite the local mouth pieces denying it.

I'll say this, my daughter worked for a big booster at the time, and she was hearing the same thing from him.

There was smoke. I don't think it had gotten this far, though. Gruden has the money in front of him, he just has to make the decision if he wants to take the chance.

I understand his hesitation, to be honest. He's got it made and if it falls through, he still has endorsements and can go to another broadcasting job. He's also a legend even though his record is similar to other guys who no one gives another thought. ( I think he gets put on the pedestal due to his good looks and personality along with the superbowl) So, do you want to take the dive? There is a bunch more work and there's always the chance you fail. Will Knoxville still love you? It would be the same circumstance for Peyton, I would think.

Did Hubbs and those guys even go to journalism school? Aren't they just fans who are living the dream?

The 247 guys are all journalism school grads. Hubbs, Price, Lewis, etc., are just right place in the right time reporters.

Hubbs would have never passed Media Writing with his spelling errors and grammatical gaffes.

I agree. Maybe he takes it maybe he doesn't. I think it got close the last time. Gruden admitted that himself. I don't think DOT is a troll. I think he may be getting trolled.

Can anyone remember the Todd Raleigh hire? I didn't pay any attention to it. It's reported Currie had a big hand in it. Did that hire come out of nowhere?

Norvell
Fuente
Frost
Etc..

It was basically just a list of VN rumored coaches.

Hubbs basically said brohm was too large of a buyout, so he wouldn't even talk about that.

Seems to believe the Frost to Nebraska rumors.

Mullen a logical choice that we could get on quickly with their last game being Thursday.

And called Norvell the hottest thing around in the lower ranks.

Hubbs still better at his job than all those guys. Don’t care if Rucker and Pat Brown have never misspelled a word in their lives.

All things considered, if you could be guaranteed Mullen on Friday, or pass for the risk of hiring someone else (anywhere from Gruden to Mike Houston, no guarantee on time frame), do you take Mullen, or take the coach behind Door #1?

Looked at Swain's Twitter. He basically said his sources are former players. Said some have been contacted by Gruden about being on staff. Those same players are now saying he's not taking the job.

The Mullen debate has made me sound anti Mullen because he wasn't my first choice. But not true. I think he's a really good coach and agree with those who say he has an extremely high floor.

I don't have an answer for you and I don't want to be the one deciding that. I'm kind of a risk-taker to be honest and that doesn't always work out.
I love the thought of no longer being a laughing stock but at the same time, .. helicopter ****.

Let me make a statement in regards to insiders. I don't think just because one is proven wrong, doesn't make them a troll. Some that put information out there are sharing erroneous information because they are given erroneous information. Some are trolls, just putting info out there like they know something when they don't for what motive I don't understand, maybe attention. Each individual has to decide for themselves who's trolling or just being fed bad info, or has some legit inside info.

Nothing has changed yet. Nothing new. Still think it’s in his lap to decide is what I was told and like you said it could be erroneous but is someone I have known for almost 20 years.
