They put up a coaching search list that started with Gruden. He blew it off and went to Mullen at #2. Cause wouldn't want to appear silly like mentally scaling a fence at an airport or anything.

We have years of evidence that DTO is a troll. If by some miracle of God's divine touch Gruden was named coach on Tuesday, No one would be more surprised by that than DTO himself.

I would say Feldman, but I think he was getting his info from Butch directly.

I could see it coming from just the generic ESPN or ESPN College Football accounts.

The fact that ESPN kind of HAS to break the story means that it has to be done secretively. They can't allow Feldman or someone like that to scoop it. Gruden is the highest-profile ESPN employee. No way they let people go to Sports Illustrated or Fox Sports or Yahoo to read the news.

And before I go on I want you to to know I'm a gruden guy. I want him here bad.

Patterson may not of ever had a top 5 class but Gruden had never recruited a college player. And we're willing to pay him $10 mill. Why would we not spend that same money on a proven college coach?
