I am 60 and this is my first post. Long time lurker.
My version of the good the bad and the ugly in reverse order.
The ugly... Kiff and Dools
The bad.....more sad than bad... Fuller decline....class act.....bleeds orange
The good... Butch fricking jones. He gets it. He teaches it. He DOES it.
My stepdad was at the miracle at south bend. I took my youngest son to his first game against Fl in what I remember as a nationally televised 4 overtime win. (As they carried the goalpost by us he looked up and asked ...... Are all the games like this?

Now to business...I'm coming to your fair town on Thursday and gonna spend the weekend in the area until the game Sunday. Can you PLEASE, for the love of all that is holy, make sure that all the vultures hovering outside restaurants, gas stations, and the strip in G-Vegas wanting me to buy show tickets or sucker me into a time share are told to stay at home until Sunday morning when I head out for Knoxvegas??? Much obliged! :)

Lewis might be the #2 behind Vereen. But Barnett is the #1 on the other side. When we are in Nickel, Maggitt slides down and takes over the DE spot. That could put Barnett at #2 behind Vereen and Lewis at #3. Also Hendrix is #2 behind Barnett, so he could also be the #2 behind Vereen, making Lewis #3 or vice versa.

They didnt list anybody as the #2 for multiple positions. (Except for the kicking game)

Just like Weisman is the #2 Center, but could also be the #2 LG/RG. They list as many players as possible and this builds their confidence.

Agreed. They'll shuffle that O-line around before some of those twos get on the field. And like you said, they'll have different packages for different players where it'll just be a different mix of the two and sometimes three-deep.

I hope to see some of those threes because the game is decided.

Finally watching the replay from the 2004 win against Florida (Wilhoit kick). Watching it I forgot how much zip Eric Ainge got on the ball. I don't recall him throwing it with that velocity later in his career. I know he had broken fingers and stuff like that but I have to wonder if the damage to his shoulder that Notre Dame game forever altered his arm. Am I imagine this?

I don't know if he has spoken about this but I also wonder if that injury was the beginninf of his pain med problems.

In my opinion Justin Coleman is the starter at corner in title only. That's butch's way of honoring him as a senior. He will start though, just not at corner.

No reason for long faces.

I've wondered the same thing. He was never the same QB after that shoulder injury. What a dumb call at the end of the half.

Man watching this game he had a GUN...I remember during the Ole Miss game his freshmen year the commentators comparing him to Elway in part because of his arm (hyperbole obviously) but something changed.

Off topic but I need your help (know those of you here better than else where) and am about to rant big time. Anyone know what the hell is going on in E. TN w/propane prices?

1. My mother in law is elderly and they said "oh sure we'll do you a deal..." and they came back with $120 a month. First, she only needs it for heating. Electricity covers everything else and this is as jacked up as KUBs rates. (actually the way KUB has been charging all this will add up to 400+ a month as they don't bother checking the meters here - they gouged us in winter even though she doesn't use electric heat!) 2. this is way more than she paid only a few years ago and buying in Aug/Sep is 'allegedly' cheaper. IIRC, just two years ago her husband would buy half a tank for 500-600 dollars and that was often in winter when gas way higher 3. She needs to get through winter - that's it. Even the hot water is now electric b/c they didn't have a gas replacement when the old one crapped out,

I can't shake the feeling they're taking advantage of an elderly woman and I only have tomorrow maybe a bit longer to get things worked out since she's tentatively scheduled delivery. She hasn't signed papers yet and I have no clue where to start looking. I'm angry and feel helpless b/c I'm ignorant in this area. I just know her husband got wayyyy better deals before he died and pisses me off because I really think she's getting screwed.

Maybe I'm wrong and prices have gone up THAT much (I don't know since I don't use gas/propane heat) any help would be appreciated. I'm of half a mind to just say eff it buy half a tank - that used to last her and her husband 9-10 months.

In case you can't tell I'm mad as holy hades she's a widow for effs sake and feel she's getting robbed because of it when people should be showing some damned compassion.
