Fowler is the best defender in the country. He's been a man beast for three years. That kid is still only 18. Fowler killed a veteran UT line. Robinson as a freshman isn't better than either of the tackles we started last year. Fowler is going to abuse that kid.
Imagine what Dante Fowler is going to do to our walk-on LT. Everyone talks about the lack of depth/ability on the interior of our DL, however I am far more concerned about the athletic DE's running around Gilliam. Even if Blair progresses and gets up and running after a game or two, he will still have some struggles against teams like Florida who have playmakers along their front 7.
Gilliam has been around a long time. He's probably got some tricks up his sleeve. I don't think he would start if Butch thought this was going to be the case. If so, you would probably just take your chances with Blair. Which may still end up happening. I'v got a feeling that Gilliam will be solid. He's worked his ass off for going on 5 years now and is finally getting his shot. Most people would have quit before this point.

Don't get me wrong, I hope Gilliam kills it and ends up having an all conference year. I will certainly be pulling for the kid. It would be great if he could ride off into the sunset from former walk-on to solid SEC starter, but I am just making a point when others are discussing what Fowler is going to do to Bama.
