–Butch Jones exposed his microphone tactics to the newcomers Friday, hollering, “You’re close to being moved to offensive tackle” to Helm after he dropped a pass and, “Welcome to college football, Jalen Hurd. Can’t be soft anymore.”

Ferguson had to pull himself out of a drill and was favoring his leg that he injured

Hoping Fergy isn't injury prone - his leg injury was at one point described as a stress fracture and those tend to come back in a lot of people. We all know he at least has the arm and it would suck if injuries continue to prevent him from competing.

BTW, what's the source on him pulling out of a drill? Not questioning you - just curious.

Thanks. :hi:

Hopefully, the stress fracture thing is just a one time deal that can be corrected with form rather than an anatomical issue (some people are built in a way that stress fractures just happen to them, sometimes a lot, and there's nothing that can be done about it). I want Fergs and Dobbs lighting the world on fire and ESPN/Sports Media saying "UT just has an 'embarrassment of riches at QB." When healthy and developed I think they can be complimentary as they bring different skillsets to the table and of course between the backdrop of injuries sidelining our QBs plus a year of eligibility difference between them keeping them both in top form matters a lot regardless of who starts.

Right now, I favor Dobbs because of experience and really liking his potential, I see a lot of potential in Fergy too. Either one starting/playing is a win-win from my perspective because Butch will make sure they earn it. I also hate the war between QB fanboys. All of our guys give their all and they deserve not just a chance at a career but our respect.

I understand favoring one over the other as legit cases can be made for each one. What I don't understand the fanboy 'worley sucks, dobbs sucks, fergy sucks etc." fan war.

At any rate, here's to Fergy's health. :toast:
