Sooners are definitely feeling their oats after the Alabama win, that's for sure. They think they'll roll us pretty easily.

If they play like they did in that bowl game they will roll us pretty easily. Hopefully they come out really flat and uninspired and we play the opposite.

I'm more optimistic than most about that game, and I wasn't one who thought we were going to beat Oregon or anything. They play bad competition there and according to people who actually watched them last season (not myself), they literally played their best game against Alabama. Apparently the usual performance of Blake Bell and Trevor Knight makes Justin Worley look like a star, not to mention they lost to a bad Texas team that Ole Miss clobbered. If we can get our OL and DL firmed up, I think we've got the speed to make things very interesting for them.

I didn't watch much of their season but I did watch the bowl game vs. Bama and like I said, if they play like they did that day, UT will need a miracle.

Hopefully, they don't play that well. I'm sure they won't be as hyped up to play UT in September as they were to play Bama in January. If they come out flat and we come out on fire I can certainly see a W.

That QB was rotating then all of a sudden he's Drew Brees for one night. They are overhyping them like crazy. Can't wait to hit them in the mouth.

This is true. Going into the Alabama game he had a passer rating of 106.52, which is squarely in the Josh Dobbs range.

Very strange situation.

Some of those comments were pretty amusing. The part where they have no idea what our roster looks like or the history of our recent coaching changes especially.

A really cocky OU fan came into work not too long ago and told me last year was their "rebuilding year."

I just walked away.

Agree 100%. I'm glad we have them early on. Can really be a statement game and give our guys some confidence and momentum as we enter the meat of our schedule.

(Edited because it was rude)

JJ has been committed for about 2 hours now and they already are trashing his passing abilities. They are saying 2-3 weeks at QB then to defense.

Can't be happy.

Going Saturday plus 6, potentially up to 14 depending on on-call schedules. Beer run already complete.

One couple insists on bringing their 6 year old who can't sit still and hates football. There's always one in every group of friends.

2nd beer run may be needed.
